No, not yet. But given the number of questions and the fact that he is close to the release date of his new book, I figure it could take a couple of weeks. But I'd rather have him take his time and provide longer answers than have him rush it.:D

You guys will be the first to know, that's for sure!:D

sorry i didn't post nething sooner but i have been fairly inebriated over the past few days. neway, as the veil of drunkeness lifts from my eyes i wil attempt some kind of communication.

as i mentioned in my comment on the website its the first time i've ever entered nething like this so it was a bit of a shock when i won. its especially useful cos now i have a full set of books, as i was introduced to erikson by a friend i borrowed gotm off him and never had a copy myself. also the copies i did have were lookin pretty worse 4 wear!

phew...thought i was gonna throw up on the keyboard! :D

and on that wonderful note i will say thanks to pat for settin this up and ne1 else who was involved and hope every1 has a great new year.

ROLL ON 1ST MARCH!!!!!!

I'd ask how discovering the fan sites has impacted his work? Specifically, has it caused him to alter the story arcs to include popular demand otherwise not intended? Would he consider evading fan sites in the future to prevent altering his train of thought, or does he view us as an aid of sorts?

Sorry gzar, but the questions have already been sent to SE. Hopefully we'll get the answers sooner than later!:D

And thanks to everyone who participated to both THE BONEHUNTERS and the MALAZAN contests! The more people get involved, the more contests the publishers will support in the future!

The next one, which should be announced this week, will be fore Elizabeth Kostova's THE HISTORIAN. Stay tuned!

Hey hey!

Just came back from my New Year's dinner, and guess what was in my inbox. Oh yeah!:D SE just emailed me with the answers. . .

And he answered ALL the questions! I just read it, and there is some pretty interesting stuff in this Q&A.

I'm too beat to format it for the blog tonight, however. But tomorrow morning, I'll be doing that as I eat breakfast. So visit the blog tomorrow, and you'll have the chance to read this great interview!

Cheers,

Patrick

All right, boys and girls! You are a click away from the SE Q&A!:D

Please feel free to leave a comment on the blog. Since the publisher will be looking at it, if there are enough positive responses, we may be able to do another later this year!:D

Enjoy!

Cool interview, Pat. :D

Some interesting replies to the questions. I particularly like the information that we won't be seeing Assail from Steven Erikson's view (gosh, that leaves a lot of alternatives...). Nice to know that the world map has apparently been found again as well.

Great interview. Thank you!

It rather makes sense with Assail - Crimson Guard belongs to Esslemont storyline, and we know they were there.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.:D

I'm happy everyone seems to appreciate the interview! I've never received so many hits in so short a span of time. Word has spread all over the globe in a matter of hours. . . It's a bit crazy!:D

By the way, I have copies of Elizabeth Kostova's THE HISTORIAN up for grabs, if anyone is interested!

Don't get your hopes too high yet, but. . .

Due to the unbelievable response the interview has generated, I went ahead and did it. SE emailed me concerning something I had asked him, and I told him about the buzz our Q&A was making.

Anyway, since so many people around the world enjoyed the interview, I asked him about the possibility of doing another. Perhaps after THE BONEHUNTERS has been released. And this time, it would be comprised mostly of questions submitted by fans!:D

There is certainty at the moment, but you can start to think about a question to ask. . .:)

I'll let you know if we can make it happen.

Cheers,

Patrick

Thanks for the good news pat. Seems like you found a way to circumvent SE's absence in the Q&A thread :)

And yep, great interview and great initiative :D
