I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, but Steven Erikson is just finishing a book signing tour of the U.S. West Coast today.
I'll be heading out for the San Diego signing in a bit, and will report back as much as I can remember.

Well, it seems that the folks here are mostly the Brits and those who have been buying the British editions, so the Tor reprints are kinda less interesting. Makes me wonder if there are pockets of U.S. fandom elsewhere on the web where this info would have been more significant.
So, ya know, calm down a bit.
Here's the link to the S.E. page on Mysterious Galaxy's website. They will get S.E. to sign as many books as his hand can tolerate, so you can either call today and reserve copies, place an order via the site, or call them in the next few days.

welp, I called down to the shop and they were more than happy to take my credit card and charge almost $40 to buy MoI (hardcover), make sure SE signs it and then ship it out Monday.
I almost started crying when (before they understood Im not near them) they told me I could bring in all my Erikson books and have them signed...
I have to go..medicate myself now.

I just found out Steve came through Seattle. I am extremely upset. Why was this tour not posted on the main page. I mean this is fairly hidden in the forums.
I found out about it through a link at wotmania of someone's San Diego experience.
I hope Steve comes back to Seattle the next time around... so sad.

I sent an email off to david.moench@tor.com he may (or may not) be the guy that set up the dates/etc. I made it fairly clear that the lack of publicity wasnt a good idea since it kept me ...and countless others... from showing our support for SE in person.
