Silchas is the younger and yet more powerful than either of his two brothers if we are to believe Scabandari's pov... and the comment "he would have accepted the burden of godhood - had he been given the chance"

I hope we learn something new. I just cant see how the youngest child of MD could outdo Rake. Even despite his superior draconeon form the fact that Rake is the first child of mother dark must count for something. I would say that Ruin is superior to Rake in terms of soletaken forms. However Rake is more adept at using Kurald Galin and therefore a more powerful mage.

err there has never been a direct comparison regarding the size of rake and ruin in soletaken form... the only comparison that i know of is that of bloodeye comparing himself and ruin.....
we do not know that ruin is a bigger dragon and rake is also not the first of mothers dark children... read the convo between osserc and the 2 edur women...

I'm not sure that a true comparison between Rake and Ruin is possible at this time. We don't know enough about Ruin or his abilities with or without Kurald Galain to do that.
We do know he has more draconean blood than Rake (drank deeper by far), and that he would have accepted the burden of godhood - something that Rake appears reluctant to do for whatever reason. To my mind that speaks of a much colder, harder and more brutal personality than Rake.
Whether this makes him stronger or more powerful we'll have to wait and see.... and I'm so looking forward to that

It is always hard to judge power levels in this series, but imo Silchas is at least on Rake's level if you take into account that he singlehandedly wiped out whole cities of Forkrul Assail plus went for some Che'malle matrons.

Yes i also want to see a more of silchas and fear because we never get to see him fight against a worthy opponent. IMO the fact that rake is mother darks first child must count for something but i believe Silchas is Rakes equal. Therefore i agree with Hetan. Well just have to wait and see:p
