Found it quite hard to watch elfen lied. It started very promisingly but tailed off very quickly. Didnt watch the end.

Watching ergo proxy just now. It has lots of suspence and conspiracy theory and less action. The characters are really engaging though and i think thats what has kept me watching.
If anything its similiar to stand alone complex. Set in the future with all the weird technology, lots of ai and robot topics, cool main story and little titbits to change the pace slightly. Brilliant series.

And finally you gotta love Ed from Bebop.

elfen lied, liked it ;)

i am now addicted to Death Note. it was a very popular manga (after the first anime ep i downloaded it, but haven't read it yet ^^") and they're now at the fifth episode in the series.
MY GODS
everyone in DN is INSANE!! they just totally lost it! well, at least Light, Ryuku and L did. damn it's just awesome for its insanity. you have to see it to believe it, all the five eps i've been sitting with my mouth open, wondering how the hell they got it into their heads to.......... (spoiler)
plus the animation is just beautiful :p

don't let da blood and gore fool you. when you watch this to the end you get da feeling you've witnessed something REAL. Nothing in the show was watered down but the ending leaves you shocked by spilling less blood and becoming more human.

[Summarized] it was awesome.

So I went and finished watching that Series called Cowboy Beepob.

Not too shabby overall. Wasn't a big fan of the end though. Worst episode was when Edward decided to leave. That was awful. She was easilly the coolest character in the series.

Trigun I found to be slightly better overall but. Vash is a more rounded loveable character..

Dude, Spike is 100% cooler then Vash. Vash is a faggot. Spike kills people :p

I finished watching the first 5 discs of Samurai Champloo. I can't wait to finish it off! It mixes my love of hip hop with my love of violence! Priceless.

You liked Edward? Oh my, I couldn't stand the thing. I found myself disappointed with Cowboy Bepop. I think I was expecting too much after it was recommended it to me. Every Japanese Animation series I saw up to that point had a linear continuous story line so CB being not that way(for the most part) was a let down. The coloring however was well done.

GUNGRAVE

the mob, undead and wierd powers, plus the story is awsome too
Question:

Does being the only sane person in the world make you insane?

If a tree falls in the woods and a deaf person saw it, does it make a sound?

For those of you who have watched both series... otherwise, you can ruin both shows for yourself:

Spoiler

:3

EDIT -
And Furi Kuri (FLCL) was good... but extremely weird. When I went to Anime Central in Chicago, there was a woman who had to be 40 dressed as the pyro chick. She was awesome. :>

Naruto Shippuuden's kept me entertained while Bleach is on a filler hietus. XP Can't wait for next week's!

Currently watching naruto shippuden(ep19), fma(ep 34), claymore (1st episode waiting for mate to put the whole series on cd), cowboy bebop (finished watching), everything is cool. I thought that edward was funny and it was a weird ending as well (i thought it was anyway lol). Seen gungrave it was brill. Watched heat guy j again it was cool.

Watched Ghost in the Shell - Solid State Society over the weekend. It's a movie that follows chronologically the two GITS Stand Alone Complex series. Top-notch as always for GITS.

just to be clear, GITS - Solid State Society is a sequel to the TV series, GITS - Stand Alone Complex (SAC and 2nd gig), not the two full-length movies. It's probably still awesomely enjoyable anime, but if you're unfamiliar with SAC, the storyline might be kind of wtf.

That might be the next series I get into. I saw the first DVD, but between GITS (SAC and 2nd gig) and Texhnolyze, I haven't had time for another.

A single disc anime I recommend is "Dead Leaves." see:
http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Leaves-Leaves-U...85561409&sr=1-1

(Unrated, suitable for ages 17 and older: brief nudity, extensive violence, profanity, sexual humor, toilet humor, alcohol and tobacco use)

Looking forward to watching the Inspector Zim collection that arrived from Amazon yesterday.

Yeah I'm not much of an anime series fan (movies aka Miyazaki, GiTS, Vampire Hunter D, Akira, Ninja Scroll etc. are a different question), this is the only series apart from NGE that I've enjoyed.

Watch it, thank me later.

I was made aware that there's quite a clash of sorts between DBZ and Naruto fans as to which cast would emerge victorious in a battle. There's a whole series of flash movies on youtube among other things.

I might be missing something as I'm not really much of an anime fan to begin with, but my impression from my little brother's books is that while Naruto characters can be quite powerfull, some of the characters of DBZ can whipe out planets with the wave of a hand. Isn't the whole discussion about as comparable as a Deathstar vs Enterprise scenario?

I spose I genereally just get anoyed by fanatical fan boy behaviour
