The last episode of that series (well, actually the whole series, but the last ep. in particular) is so damn awesome/emotional/anything/everything that I could die, really. Love it.

Damn straight! I kinda expected things to turn out that way at the end though... Kinda glad it didn't do the typical anime thing and disappoint me at the very last episode E.G. Elfen lied, Rahxephon(redeemed itself), Gilgamesh(crap ending), Cowboy bebop(...bang...), ROROUNI KENSHIN(I refuse to cry!!!)

Anime endings really stick with me. I think we should have a vote for best ending episode.:D

The way I see it, I'm just downloading them until they get licensed in Australia - as soon as those babies hit the shelves I'll be there with my mula clutched in my sweaty little fist - gimme gimme gimme!

It's not piracy unless someone else is making money off it anyway - right? And I WILL buy the ones I watch - I just want to watch them first :D

You're telling me you've never bought an anime dvd that you thought sounded cool, then seriously regretted forking out the AUS$30 (or equivalent) before you knew what you were buying? (Tenjou Tenge anyone? Get Backers?) It's nice to be able to download the first couple of episodes of a series before going out and buying it - at least that way you're not wasting your money on something you don't end up liking. And if you suggest that I borrow them out from the local video/dvd store, you have no idea how little anime they stock in the Australian stores - though it has gotten better over the past couple of years.

My Bad.
For some reason I am mixing up Ghost in the Shell with FMA..

Will probably get FMA cheap sooner or later though.
JB-Hi Fi is a discount dvd/cd hi fi store we have, they frequently have little (irresistable) stickers saying "Im Cheap, Buy me NOW - Limited offer" by cheap its as much as half price to more off. And almost everything has one of those stickers on them sooner or later..

Loved them both, have a limited ed. box of Howl's Moving Castle and a little model of the castle itself (won the model in a competition - yay me!)

Oh, and Madman Entertainment is coming up on its 10th anniversary, so everything will be marked down - woot!!!

Most recently:

Everyone and their grandmothers should be watching THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA.

Seen the most recent discs of GITS: SAC, SAMURAI 7, MY HIME (yes, I am still watching this...though at least I stopped watching Burst Angel), FULL METAL ALCHEMIST of course.....

I watched one disc of NEGIMA....and so far I am not impressed, and I am a little put off....it's like Harry Potter meets Love Hina. Now, Love Hina was good for the first 10 eps or so...then it got...er...kinda....gross? I don't have another word to describe it. I honestly don't think I'll watch any more of it, too trashy, with too much fanservice.

They are redoing Eva. I don't know how, or ...well how....but this is according to the most recent Japanese issue of Newtype magazine. I'm curious if this means they are going to redo the series with new animation, V/A et al...or if it means a new series...or a sidelong running one or prequel(perhaps dealing wholly with Gendo, Yui ect....prior to Second Impact)....To be completely honest, It doesn't really matter to me WHAT they do...simply that it is to do with Evangelion makes me want to see it. Eva is still hands down the best anime ever.

just watched Bleach 1-52. You know, not to sound harsh or anything but doesn't it seem like DBZ on steroids with swords? I mean Its funny and awesome and all but I can draw thousands of parallels (four or five) between DBZ and Bleach.

still really good stuff. oh and any one watching Air gear?

It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!

Maybe it's because I'm a big kid, but there were tears running down my face from this. I haven't laughed so hard in years.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
