Thats the one it is quite extrem ein its violence, although I think it teaches a important story for kids not to go around punching each other...

The fact that no one seems to include Lain in their lists bothers me. Too deep for you is it, hm?

I love Lain, but I thought we were just listing the series we've been watching recently

I bought Spirited Away the other day. There, apart from the Animatrix, it will be the first Anime I've watched...

Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend
UROTSUKIDOJI II: LEGEND OF THE DEMON WOMB
Hardcore Anime business!
Amano Jaku=legend.
Also cyber city oedo 808 I think, used to be on channel 4 back in the day about some criminals who are doing life but they get a chance to work for some agency but they have collars on them which would make their heads explode if they tried to escape...if i remember correctly
Doomed megalopolis was badass as well.
Robotech was cool as with the bike that turned into a robot
Akira=lots of drugs taken before and during animation of the film

These films are just plain comical. I don't see how anyone could watch these and take it seriously.
I've never really been very interested in Anime, but I watched Akira years ago and enjoyed the style and quietness of it. Most other stuff I saw really put me off, but I would like to see some of the more general-public oriented ones that have been in the cinema lately.

I Just watched advent children and I think I've been converted to the way of anime forever. lately I've watched Love hina, Getbackers and ninja scrolls and I've never enjoyed a foreign language so much in my life.
Those of you who haven't watched advent children should try your best to do so. The action is AWESOME!!! and the story didn't seem bad either. I've only played FF8-X2 but I still enjoyed it without the subtitles or ackground story. WATCH IT. especially you Megaphage, If you like akira you'll love this.

Dolmen: Go and play FFVII. Now.
The only anime I've seen is Ninja Scroll (absolute rubbish) and Advent Children (reasonably awesome, but only because I was raised on VII
Sephiroth is still killer).

I've watched in my lifetime:
Started out on Sailor Moon (*gag*)
Pokémon (*super-gag*)
Digimon (have I listed all the 'mon's yet?)
**list now ventures into subtitled ones**
Hikaru No Go
Shaman King
Ah! My Goddess
Fruits Basket
My friend is burning/has burned me a copy of FFVII: Advent Children. He forgot to bring it to school today though, so I missed it
I can't wait though, Sephiroth is smexy.

advent children is cool, very slick animation
im not a big fan of north american releases, cos they edit them too much, and the voice acting tends to be lousy, hehe

I absolutely loved FFVII: Advent Children! I got a copy of the subtitled japanese version about 3 weeks ago, and I've watched it many times since. They did an incredible job with the animation, it's possibly the best I've seen.
Some of my other fav animes would be:
-Hellsing
-Dragonball Z
-Inu Yasha (on occasion, I haven't watched it recently)
-Visions of Escaflowne

And so the First denied their Mother,
in their fury, and so were cast out,
doomed children of Mother Dark.

Subs are way better than dubs. Unless some of the better actors are doing it. Spirited Away is fine dubbed.

yay cowboy bebop!!
spirited away was a good dub cos they put effort into it, hehe
although it was kinda weird, cos the actor who did the voice of the boy/dragon also did a disney kids show that i watched (had a lotta spare time in the summer) so it was kinda weird hearing his voice, heh
