I'm not sure it will end up changing what I do, but I'm now wondering if dislodging twelve from his homeworld or rex is a better play.

Yes - any of his ships in any systems get to move to any of his locked down systems is how I read his hero ability.

I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

I think taking Twelve's homeworld is the only way you prevent him from scoring this round, which is about the only way we prevent Twelve from an Imperial win next round given he's the Speaker.

Realized as I was figuring out what to do that I can't get my ships from Bakal/Alio Prima to my home planet, which I was counting without really thinking about it, so now everything has fucking changed again. It's either lose most of those ships and produce a bunch of destroyers at home, or risk going through the Gravity Rift to get them all to Kraag/Siig along with another ship from somewhere. Neither an ideal option, but the 5 ships PO is the only one I have a chance to really score this round I think.
This is another reason why I didn’t ask you. You were talking about activating your home system and I couldn’t see how you could get the Bakal ships there.

Can morgoth score any POs nevermind SOs if twelve wins those battles?
Wonder if anyone will make a play for rex now.

I still have a formidable ground force with my commander that Khell is likely the only one with troops with a chance but I still like my odds.
Yeah khell playing his hero really opened up your options
My internal debate was: do I use the Hero for the greater good, or do I use it selfishly?

I can't do anything this round, but I could position some ships to take his homeworld first turn next round.

Again I need either to have a 2 point public objective I can score or to be able to score immediately the secret I draw. Both scenarios will be obvious to everyone so no need to immediately plan to take me down. We are getting to the point where everyone but you look like they can win next round so no need to focus so heavily on me while ignoring IH, Morgoth, Khell or Tatts. Let's save all these plans for at least after the status phase.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I was gonna say if you really wanted to you could absolutely gravity rift+aetherstream the stuff you have in your 3 planet system and probably manage a win, but I guess 3v3 infantry + pds is not good odds.

OKay, yeah, you really couldn't get enough there to do anything about Twelve's HW, and yeah, I don't see your hero ability being really useful this round regardless unless you want to move some stuff back to your 3 planet system.

Sleeeeeeepy. I'm gonna resolve Twelve's turn now but I don't think I have it in me to do a map update tonight so will try to squeeze that in during work tomorrow.

How many points will Twelve finish on this round? Is it minimum 7 possibly 8. Which means he only needs to take Imperial, hold Rex and score a stage one PO first turn next round?
Given he is stopped, IH will surely have Leadership so being able to score first. He can feasibly hit 8 points this round but even if he just score a PO and an SO, 7 points. He can score the structures PO and draw an additional SO this round. Safe to say he is in next best spot.
Is it possible for Morgoth to win in the action phase next round, OR win it this round? I don't think so but would like a run down.
So right now, it's Twelve's to lose, followed by IH. I cannot believe he may win yet another game. For some reason it pisses me off.
