I might have to wait. Every time I get a Bantam version of a Malazan book it's full of typos... "colour" , "honour", "labour", etc.

Oh, you mean the correct way to spell those words? I'm sorry about this clear indictment of the American system...but then what should we expect from a country where "Regardless" became (inexplicably) "Irregardless"....a nonsense word.

FTFY.

I can't help it, i love using that word because it's such perfect bait.

Reddit tells me the book is appearing on shelves in Europe.

Evidently Book Depository is closing at the end of this month. Sad news. Quite enjoyed the free shipping from the UK.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Typical Amazon. Buy competing company (set up by a former Amazon employee who hated amazon), drain it of anything worthwhile, and then shut it down so people filter back to Amazon.

Jeff Bezos can fuck off into the sun.

Got back from Spring Break to find Forge on the porch. Was really sad to see that the depository was shutting down.

Just downloaded it, but, uh... I still haven't read KR yet! (And at this point I've entirely forgotten the first two books as well.) Time for a reread...

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

I have acquired this on Audible. Once I get the opportunity, I will acquire a physical specimen as well. Preferably in Hardcover, to join it's hardcover brethren.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Got mine in the US through Book Depository today. There's a nice new 2-page detailed map of the Falar Islands in the very back.

Tor has finally gotten around to posting the US publishing date. It's January 9, 2024.

Spoiler

This is a whole other level of generic fantasy book cover.

Also, severe lack of ship.

I'm glad I checked this thread today, I didn't know this was out yet! I have a long vacation coming up, and there is just enough time left for Amazon UK to ship it to me (in the US) before I leave!

Worse is the hack attempt at image editing. If you're going to edit out the chains then at least don't leave random sections hanging there.

Or copy & paste the scenery

Having taken a closer look at each of the 3 large structures; each is an awful mess of structural components in different alignments, irregular scales and nonsensical forms.

Is this trash produced by an AI? Anyone know how to give feedback on this dross?

I wouldn't get too bent out of shape by the quality of this cover until we see the final version. There have been several rushed Malazan cover mockups appearing in sales promotions over the years that didn't correctly represent the final product. One early cover of Orb Sceptre Throne that incorrectly included commas in the title still shows up in Tor articles from time to time.
