I broke down and ordered mine through Book Depository which currently has the very reasonable price of US$21.79 (HC) and $15.24 (SC). And there's no shipping charge to the US.

Something's going on with Tor and the US edition. Normally Amazon US has a pre-order listing long before the book gets published in the UK. I wouldn't expect to it to show up for sale in the US until at least Fall at this rate.

Fair warning that Book Depository is owned by Amazon and very, VERY frequently their release dates and pre-orders are wildly wrong, and even more often they don't get any stock to FILL the preorders so you simply never receive the book even weeks after release.

Thus the "we'll see", lol. If I don't get it straight away that's fine. It mattered more when it was the main sequence and I needed it in my system ASAP.

I might have to wait. Every time I get a Bantam version of a Malazan book it's full of typos... "colour" , "honour", "labour", etc.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Huh... lucky me.

It's pretty good so far. Possum having siblings named Squirrel, Mole, and Chipmunk is a bit much, but it's neat to see early Empire Coltaine as a bartender. The map was a bit confusing tho... was there always a Waffle House in Darujhistan?
