Well it definitely sounds like you are going to take Meer anyway so I might as well make a deal right now. I need to coordinate with Tatts to see when he wants Tar'man but I use Imperial to Exhaust Meer. Then I'll vacate Meer then you can come claim it but I want your research agreement on your turn so when Tatts uses tech I get carrier II.

This way we dont fight I get a useful tech and you can score your point. IH will be happy as I now wont even be thinking of going for Rex now as I'm forced to pop Imperial earlier than I wanted to.

So your "deal" is I let you score a VP, then you vacate in exchange for my Research Agreement. This still nets me nothing I couldn't just take without giving you my Research Agreement.

If I take Meer on my first turn, you don't get your VP AND you either have to waste CTs to draw out your Ceasefire or simply get nothing.

As I said earlier, I'm not giving you my Research Agreement for nothing.

Nah, the more I look at the map and who's got which strategies this round, I'm thinking Meer is my likely candidate. Would prefer if you didn't immediately attack Twelve's War Sun though so he won't retreat it to Meer.

You do realize the Jol-Nar infantry suck right? You have 1 carrier that can reach it right now with 2 infantry. I currently have 2 infantry in Meer. Feel free to try and get it on your first try. That gives me the opportunity to block your path to meet. Unless you have a flank speed. Must be it. A 4 v 2 is probably doable for Jol-nar. Not a guarantee by any means.

That is a CT and if not exhausted a loss of 4 influence plus the loss of votes. All for a promissory Note. I'm giving up a lot not nothing and I dont understand why you are so mad at me for what I see as a very reasonable compensation, some might even say light compensation for a GUARANTEED point for you. If you go for the assault option it's not guaranteed. I've thought we've had decent relations. I've offered to come to a peaceful negotiation with you that doesn't include my Research Agreement re: Meer - you're outright refusing. So you've pushed me into being less peaceful about it. If you don't want to come to a peaceful negotiation, I'll make it hurt you as much as possible. *shrugs* It's really up to you how you want this to go. I don't think you can afford to deal with war against me while continuing to fend off IH. He can pretty easily get to your Homeworld this round if he wants to, for example, and I may lose in the short run in a war against you, but the more you fight me, the richer I get - you attacking me out of spite only helps me to put more plastic on the table, and eventually that plastic will be enough to outdo yours.

Honestly Twelve's fleet isn't even that scary. Yeah, the war sun, but it only has 4 fighters with it and people have drawn enough ACs now that there's probably direct hits out there. And it's so far out from the homeworld.

I'm curious if Blend going for it will make Tatts push in, too. Tequ'ran/Torkan is still somehow untaken?
