Each player in order chose a race to ban. Afterwards each player in order chose a race, starting position, or speaker, in a snake draft.

Morgoth, in here you say we are doing a snake draft but in the game thread you say we are doing the startup like we did last game!

Ya, its copy-paste from the last game, but I assume what Morgoth put in this thread is his real intent and he'll update the game thread later.

@Morgoth: also need to change the action card listing from "Core Set" to "Malaz-Core Set" since I renamed it when I modified the (μ) cards.

Yeah, the way the wormholes are set up, I didn't think having Creuss in the game would have been very fun for anyone not Creuss! Given I'm in the middle of the pack, I didn't want to leave them there for those choosing before me to take.

Statistically what we can say is that the best races are those that begin with a letter Y :p

Yssaril makes it very easy to grasp opportunities when they present themselves, which is incredibly valuable in a game like this I think. Flexibility I guess. They're in my opinion by far the most flexible faction.

Though they lose that advantage by being pressured to use their cards, rather than hoarding them for the opportune moment. In that regard they're easier to deal with than some of the other factions.
