What action cards can stop Twelve?

Thank you so much for playing Leadership early. That creates a lot more options if I lose any influence planets.

The two action cards which exhaust planets.

I didn't think early leadership helped you much, argh!

I've been thinking about this for to long.

Of course it did, because when someone exhausts one of my planets then I get to spend the influence on CTs instead of holding out for later in the round.

I now have a couple of plans forming. Twelve needs to block the route to Torkan or occupy the air space himself otherwise Morgoth can get that point and win on his turn.

Ah so you are going to spend the influence on CTs and try and win in the action phase with another PO.

I guess you can win by taking torkan too.

Oh I see it! If morgoth moves to take your planet with his dreadnought you can take my homeworld, and fleet logistics imperial to win.

If that fails you could also take torkan and blends homeworld.

Devious. I think this is the best last round we've had. Everyone can mathematically win.

Blend I think is the only one who can't mathematically win in the action phase, but would win in the status phase if he had the cards.

I love it!

What's the SO with someone destroying a flagship? Their greatest ship? I think Morgoth with flank speed could get that on multiple targets.

Morgoth doesn't have any SOs he can score as he's already scored 3.

We had one teeny ice squall and my internet has been down all day

If it's not fixed tomorrow I will do my best to resolve things with my phone but its hard :crybaby:

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

So from what I gather from your posts, I no longer have a direct route to Torkan? Oh well, I suppose it was too much of a hope.

I can take Sakulag from tatts, which should block him from claiming the 2 point PO I think? Is there a path to block him from winning when he plays imperial?

We have to stop him taking a homeworld, torkan and scoring the 2 influence PO.

If you take sakulag with your dreadnought, he attacks my homeworld, blend plays ceasefire and then he takes torkan or blends homeworld. So best case we would have a round to take his homeworld/rex off him.

I think the better option is for you to take vefut with your flagship unless you have some action card shenanigans as a backup.

Then someone needs to take a planet off twelve before he plays diplomacy. And someone also needs to take your homeworld.

Could Morgoth not win this turn with flank speed?

I mean, I can go to Torkan with the flagship and 3 GFs. However, I can't bring any more as Quann and Bereg Lirta, and every other system surrounding Torkan for that matter, have ships in them and I do not have In the Silence of Space. And, as far as I can tell there are 4 GFS on Torkan, so it's hardly good odds.

The question then, do I want to gamble everything on a 20 % roll of the dice, or do I make an attempt to block tatts from winning the following round.

And just so I am not missing something since the map isn't updated; all the systems surrounding Torkan have ships in them, do they not?

I though all ships in your flagship system have can bypass ships?

I don't think there is a route for any ship except your flagship.
