I lied to myself first when I told myself it was a good idea to share it when you suggested the idea. Then when you built 2 dreads in round 1 using your huge trade good advantage even without trade and with a control objective on the board I woke up and asked myself what am I thinking? So no it's not a lie when I said I need the production more than you as you aptly demonstrated you had a 50%+ superior production rate to what I could manage.

I have a4 year old daughter that demands alot of my time. I cycle to work so get up early to do that. I am not on this forum 24/7 but once or twice a day I'll check in. I don't want to be the guy that will hold up the game. Is it because you've had a bad start and your enthusiasm has dropped? I'd love to know. Yeah, this pace has killed my motivation for this game. I was thinking I should just throw everything possible into eliminating Nom ASAP so it doesn't have to drag on...

I stuck it out and posted prombtly when I played as the Winnu and was tag teamed by two players. It's not even as if his start cant be recovered from. This map dictates slow starts and he got trade again so he can put some pieces on the board and still compete.

It is frustrating, but we have all had periods where we've been to busy to post. Maybe we ask for a commitment next time to check into the forum at least once every 24 hours on weekdays (unless you give notice) so that we don't get a period of downtime, if you don't make a move in that time, the mod will make one for you based on your provisionals.

I've got no provisionals from Nom anyway, otherwise it would be posted.

I get that people get busy, but I'm pretty frustrated with Nom right now too. We expect some downtime sometimes, but it's been 5 days since he last posted and it's frustrating as hell to have to constantly wait on the same person. This constantly waiting on the same people is what makes these games drag on for fucking ages. We should reasonably be able to get through a round in 1-2 weeks, which means a game should last 2-3 months max. But our games are lasting like 6-7 months cause we're always waiting 5-6 days for the same person to post. Like, it wouldn't even be so bad if the wait time was because he wasn't done negotiating, i.e. chatting in the chat thread, but that's not the case. He's simply not present. So if he has to do any negotiating before posting his move, we'll then have to wait even longer. It's now Friday, and historically Nom doesn't post on the weekends, so I'm not really expecting anything until Monday at this point.

Ok, I'm done. It's not even like Nom disappeared. He's been online on the forum many times since the last post.

If someone wants to start a new game with only reliable players I'll be up for it, otherwise this isn't worth the mental tax.

If you want to try and keep this one going I'll ask you to try and find a replacement player for me.

I am not going to keep the game going if we're not all into it, so I've just closed the game thread. If we want another game going, someone else can run it, this is twice I've done all the setup work to have the game die due to someone's inactivity, it's annoying as setup isn't a small amount of time and effort.

If we have 6 reliable players I'm happy to keep this game going, but I do agree Nom's lack of interaction has got annoying we have had players not be online before, but to be online and not even a response is very frustrating especially after all the work you've put in blend. Real life does take precedence sometimes but a quick post to let people know would be nice.

It would be a shame if another game died though. I think we need to set ground rules beforehand, something like you need to check in every 24 hours on weekdays unless you give notice or the mod makes a move for you.
