Philosophical Apt. Nostalgia Post.

Do you guys remember when we were younger? And drunker? Chasing that high?

Went office Christmas drinking today. Tempering beer and drinks with expectations of positions, presumptions, levels of pay grade.

I'm weaker than I was once upon a time but I know I can destroy my colleagues... Intellectualy!? Hardly but Drinking beer and spirits. Fuck I miss being dumber and drunker and younger. But I also know I'm gonna pay for this in ,,. 6 hours time?

A part of me wish now was 15 years ago. The other part is tired.

Remember when once upon a time we all had to rely on some sort of hazy collective memory of our sins? We could even disavow our actions somewhat.
People's memories after all, are the least preferred evidence by the Police.

Now it's all over the Internet. Who needs a memory? (See what I did there?)

Indeed, I think as we rely more and more on electronic memories, we're getting dumber and more forgetful.

Drinking is so not worth it any more. I wake up a lot of mornings thinking "oh I shouldn't have had a drink last night" and then I remember that I didn't and I feel like shit anyway! How did it come to this? Old age is going to be brutal.

Yeah, work people saying 'come out for a drink' now makes me think, ok, go into town, have a few hours out, stay somewhere as I can't drive back, feel awful the next day with a lot less money than I started with. Just can't see the point anymore!

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

The way the dinner went I'm amazed somebody wasn't fired. You know it's gonna be a fun night when you see somebody get so drunk they start crying before the meal actually starts.
