So we either try and deny toaster the resources for CTs which sees improbable or someone denys Toaster one of his home planets, which essentially means Morgoth, which again doesn't look likely.

If anyone’s going to take his home planets then it seems to me that we vote to destroy half the infantry, as getting there is one thing, taking enough troops along is another.

Killing 2 infantry doesn't seem significant when it gives him the resources to buy infantry, and more defences and the money to spendon more CTs to allow him to defend. Also makes it much harder to take enough troops as those who can reach also lose infantry, and toaster will alwaysbe able to build before anyone can attack.
Morgoth would be one of the only ones who can affect things though so if he says he can make a play for toasters homeworld, I'm willing to change my mind.

How likely is it that, without taking the home world, we can stop him from gaining 6 tokens to spend? He currently has 5, with the possibility of gaining up to 4 more through Leadership secondary. It kinda seems harder to do that than hitting his homeworld...

Lucky I got Neuroglaive last round
Morgoth will loose 1 VP if he attacks me

Don't know if handing me 12 Trade goods is going to help, it might help to stop me this round. But next round I will be in an even better position then this round I think.
Although placing 1 infantry extra on all planets might be worse.

Yeah but he’ll lose the game overall if he doesn’t. Or if we don’t come up with another plan. At the moment I’m thinking that we need to have a coordinated takedown to stand any chance. It needs to be more than controlling the homeworld.

It's an interesting analysis, toaster. I have reached much the same conclusion. Having all the planets exhausted this round really fucked up my plans, and I'll be 1 point behind you with an impossible SO.
I understand, but in his position I would not spread myself thin/ use my own resources, only to try and stop the neighbour I was friends with the whole game. Just so that someone else can benefit from this and win.
Stopping me will not set him up for a win.
I find the situation we are in right now, the worst thing of TI. I love early, mid game TI, but end game it always get so crazy.
Normally the person in the lead gets stopped by people in third/fourth position, " because they otherwise have no chance of winning ". But then the person in second place (which is you Khell) will end up winning.
For this reason I was clear up front, that I will not participate in leader bashing. But the choice is up to Morgoth.

Toaster, I don't think they can can stop you. Do you see any other person winning this round? If not then use your tokens to make yourself more formidable and win next round. I don't see you losing ground here to be honest.

The end game chaos is the best bit! Taking the win when everyone is trying to stop you is so satisfying, or sneaking a win no-one expects. If we didn't have this bit at the end where everyone tries to pull down the leaders it would be boring
So Morgoth/Khell/anyone else with interest, I'm listening and happy to coordinate a takedown with you all... unsure about the merits of swords to ploughshares, but let's here suggestions!

I personally think giving toaster the TGs would be a mistake, he'd be in a much better position to reinforce with all those resources, not to mention the potential with imperial.
I'm also not convinced I should be attacking Toaster at all. We've had a good run, him and I, and if I attack him I will most likely kill my own chance at victory alongside his.

I'm willing to coordinate and get my hands dirty for the first time this game. Not doing anything, like Morgoth is suggesting, is tantamount to handing the victory to Toaster right now. I'm sure that Morgoth is hoping that we just get on with trying to dismantly Toaster and he then swoops in with the victory himself, but I think without his help we cannot do much either. So Morgoth either assists or we proclaim Toaster winner now. I'm gonna have a look at the map, but I suspect this is the case. What's Nom's position on Toaster by the way?

Which I am ok with by the way ;-) I did reach 10 points first.

I have an insane/genius idea. In this idea I do all the hard work. But, for it to work, I'm going to need a strategy card to come to me, I'm going to need other strategy cards to be played at specific points, and I'm going to need compensatory payment, at least from those who want to see the game carry on.

You may as well spill the beans then. Unless you need to be your actions to be hidden.

It would, of course, be much easier for Morgoth to just go for Toaster's homeworld, for others like myself to attack his other planets to stop him from retaking or at least expending too many actions this round to be able to claim the 6CTs PO - and for us to compensate Morgoth for his losses.
