If I had 3 commodities would you swap them for your 3 commodities? If the answer is yes what is the result? We each would have 3 less commodities and 3 more trade goods. Now in my proposal I give you my trade agreement pn for your 3 commodities gaining 3 trade goods. When you use trade and give me a free refresh I gain 3 commodities that you then take and you gain 3 tgs. What is the end result? We both end up with 3 tgs the same as if we swapped commodities and you now have room for 3 more commodities.
Now what happens if we don't trade? I gain nothing and you only gain 3 tgs from the trade primary while still trying to offload your commodities.

Why don't you want to do this? If anyone else offered you this deal with maybe the exception of D'rek I see you agreeing to this.

Earlier you wanted me do you a favor for nothing and with our history I find it doubtful you would have done the same if our positions were reversed. And with me now offering a fully equitable trade you would rather spurn it because you think I want a free refresh out of it?

I think you are missing a key point of the trade proposal.

If we do the trade feel free not to give me a free refresh. But why would you? You would hold my trade agreement at the time you would use trade. If you don't give me a free refresh the only one missing out at that point would be you.

I would get my three trade goods through your current stockpile of commodities. You gain yours by giving me a free refresh while YOU hold me trade agreement pn.

The trade would happen at the beginning of the turn you use trade. A binding deal where I give you my pn for your commodities that will convert to trade goods. Then you immediately use trade giving me a free refresh but since you now hold my pn you gain the resources instead of me.

I would even be willing to swap out the 3 new commodities you gained with my newly acquired trade goods as a down payment on working out a deal for 1 or 2 of your tech planets for the public objective. But that can wait a few rounds as I'm looking to intimidate the council this round

Wonder where you are going to do that? I would discourage you from looking towards arnor lor. It makes little sense for us as the factions likely to have the most powerful fleets to clash.

>> Next round, I'll move the carrier and all infantry out of Wellon as my first turn

That sounds good, agreed. I think any point after I exhaust Wellon should be fine to move in. I probably won't be able to move that infantry though so you'll have to remove it yourself. Deal then!
