#1 feels really stuck in b/w 2 and 5. #5 leaves a lot of surface area to either side so it's not very safe, though it does give you a good chunk of res+inf and a solid forward output on Lodor if you want to just give up Qucen'n/Rarron to the right neighbour and rush MR. With the supernova and decent resources I guess it's a good fit for Muaat, too.
#6 seems to me more densely packed, which is good. Neighbours probably won't want to attack you through the gravity rift, and a green tech skip for hyper metabolism is nice.

Yin, Yssaril, Saar, Sol, and Naalu got picked in game B (and IH hasn't picked yet). I think it'd be interesting if each game had entirely different races, so I'm not going to pick any of those, up to you if you want to follow suit.

Naalu was one of my two choices when picking blind, but the other one hasn't been chosen in the other game yet. Hopefully IH goes a different direction than I am thinking, because I have a good idea which slice I'm gonna end up with, and I think my other choice would fit that slice well. We shall see!

My sig comes from a game in which I didn't heed Blend's advice. So maybe this time I should. ~ Khellendros
I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

The 2 races I am thinking of playing in this one aren't present in the other game so it's looking like I'm headed for this suggestion. But it probably comes down to which slice I get stuck with as the second to last pick location. I might pick something else entirely.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Honestly the way you all are talking my race will get picked before it comes to me. However 2 out of 3 were in the other game.

Makes your homeworld an even farther trek across barren hexes to get to! You're going to be so remote. Plenty of good forward spacedock planets, though, and there's always the flagship option.
I've got a bunch of small-numbered planets in my slice rather than a single big 3/0 or similar planet, and its pretty isolated. Arborec seemed like a good fit for its ability to build in many small increments rather than needing a space dock on a single high-res planet, and the isolation is a good fit for their more turtley playstyle. It was also my #2 submitted race before we even saw the map, I've never actually played them before!

My two choices when we were picking blindly were Creuss and Naalu (though I toyed with the idea of Nekro too) so I am happy to get to give Creuss a shot!
