Hi all,
I just reached the part where we first encounter the Pannion Seer and he has an audience with Toc the Younger.
Creepy, creepy stuff! I still remember it from my first read.
Now, I remember distinctly about Toc getting hugged/embraced/enveloped by the creature with the "pebbled covered skin"........so just what exactly is that thing? Especially considering the fact that it was also weeping with Toc at the end of the chapter
Please advise if this is revealed later on and I'll happily forget it and read on
Cheers

You definitely learn what/who it is in time.
I mean if this is a reread we can tell you, but I'll leave it at that for now. You can have that "aw wow" moment again.

They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Thanks Worry; I'll put a pin in it for now and rediscover it again later for myself.
Amazing how much stuff I've forgotten from this book but in my defence I think I read it around 8-9 years ago
I am definitely understanding most things MUCH clearer this time around
It is such a creepy part of the book, but squeezed/suffocated/bones broken, reset and broken again....crazy
