A break always seems to help.

Bought up a load of confetti as I had some spare sen. Always useful!

Off into burning castle now to explore.

Edit.. found BKs favourite spear guy again! Btw if you use the Demon Bell, remember to remove it when you're done farming. Wondered why I was having trouble there!

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Okay, Palace is indeed very pretty. Dem sakura trees.....

And the guards really, really hate Sabimaru's poison, so it's a cakewalk.

13 skill points banked; I think i'll need to start spending them soon.

reached the area boss, but messed up the lighting bits. I'll get back to it later.

Killed the Headless underwater and the 3rd (!) ghost warrior. There's still some exploring to do though.

Beat spear guy (used puppeteer again) then red eyed Ashina elite. Magnet mbrella destroys these ninjas, twirl as they strike and their posture crumbles.

Got 9th necklace now. Once you get the dragon, go back to the Ape burrow for final ghost warrior.

Found another Drunk, fire version this time. Can get first death blow but his posture is really high. Will try again later.

After Fountainhead area, I went to Ape swamp, as if you fed the great carp, his body is lying where the guardian ape was.

If you go to the burrow area after that, there should be a ghost warrior in the place where the two apes fight was. Is he 4th? I'm losing count.

But I got a tip about there being apparitions there from the info broker before I even got to the Palace. I killed him before going deep into the palace (he dropped the ring I needed to upgrade the whistle), then I killed the 3rd one in the Palace (he dropped a Lazuli piece)

Are you saying there's a 4th one that spawns after that?

No, sorry, I missed it first time and went back.

If you do it before Fountainhead he spawns in ape swamp area. After you feed carp he spawns in the cave.

I missed Malcontent Ring; it was in upgrades but I didn't have it so I went back to get it.

I killed him in the cave, before feeding the fish. Weird.

Ah who knows, I was looking for Malcontent, so I knew I missed one. Read that once carp is dead, he goes to cave but I guess he might just appear there regardless.

Off to get drunken fire guy now.

Hate Demon is quite a challenge so far. Getting him to second phase with divine confetti and malcontent, but he's got some series ranged stuff and I get stomped on up close.

I was struggling with the Fountainhead level boss. (Well, struggling is too strong a word, since I tried it like 2 times in the limited playtime I had this afternoon before going out). After all those combat-focused to enemies, facing a boss so "videogamey" just throws me off my rhythm, lol.

I'm pretty tipsy from the pub quiz, though. Seems perfect opportunity to go stomp some ancient creature of beauty and grace, haha.

Edit: oookay, Ashina Castle becomes a bloody deathtrap afterwards.
Killed the 2 mini-bosses in the castle, eventually- the samurai took longer than Seven Spears v 2.0.

Up to 9 necklaces, and 15 skills banked. Might go back to the palace to farm some more, it's definitely safer there than the castle. Saw the fiery drunk, but didn't bother messing with him. The Interior Ministry has an ogre in the outskirts, too! scary stuff.

As I'm near the end, I ordered the guide the other day. I've got the Dark Souls ones too, they're great for the art and lore and everything.

The Sekiro one just arrived - it's huge, heavy, and just beautiful - a work of art.

Looking forward to going through all the stuff I've missed, and finding out how to actually use the skills and tools I've sidelined.

Yeah, i'm kinda wondering if I should've used the fan and the Raven mist. Oh and the whistle. Those 3, I basically never even tried. Shield, Sabimaru and Shuriken are just too good (and spear + Axe have very clearly defined situational uses).

I've barely used the raven mist, even the upgrade, and only really used sabimaru a couple of times. The fan was really good at spinning round the gunners in the fort - one spin and immediate death blow, but never really got the hang of it to use efficiently.

Book has everything. It's like an inch thick.

The umbrella spin on the late game ashina guards destroys their posture, same with the red eye ninja below Isshins room.

Sabimaru owns everyone in the Palace. All those guards are "okami" so they're vulnerable to the blue Steele. It insta-stuns them and applies the poison effect.

I'm already looking forward to Ng, and are fighting things now I know how to beat them.

If I can just beat this Demon. Oh and the actual final boss...

killed Firebreath on my second try. It took all o my health items both times but when you get him to red he stops using fire and focuses on slashes and grabs. then it's just a matter of getting those deflects in.

Met up with Kuro, and holy shit. Ashina style is friggin deadly in the hands of a master.
Edit: oh, and then he takes out a spear? that's just not fair!

Did you get Demon of Hate? I finally beat him last night, at the cost of most of my confetti. I don't know how many attempts that took, but I think I gave everyone dragonrot. I like the way there's a slightly more traditional DS boss alongside the last one, which mostly seems to be a sword fight so far.

So now onto final boss. I can get first phase (Genichiro) out of the way quite quickly now using mortal sword, and also managed get Isshins first out of the way once or twice. Wait til he pulls a frigging gun out though!

So 4 phases essentially. I'm glad the final fight is a decent one that seems to require quite a few different skills to get through.

No, I didn't look for him. I probably should, if this is actually the final fight.

I should also farm Ashina for some more Culminated Mercury to get those last upgrades. I wanna see what Lazulite Subimaru can do.
