Technically I think I could dodge our exchange because I do not have commodities, I think (making the trade commodity for commodity was one of the loopholes I left in my proposal).
If you offer to exchange 2 of my TG for 2 of your commodities without pillaging me, I am happy to do so - it's basically the courtesy I gave Nom.

I thought it quite smart, with Morgoth able to build War Sun and to attack anyone who attacks Mec Rex with that fleet sitting to the south he'd get it back. Take the VP away from him early to keep the game balanced.

That is what I wanted initially but Gnaw threaten to veto the action card law if I gained it thus denying him a tech. As a compromise he gained his tech Motgoth got the law but it was to be repealed to prevent Morgoth from gaining any benefit from the law.

I have many opinions regarding Gnaw but him being a lier wasn't one of them. Now I can't even trust his word to me anymore.

Yeah, I fucked you twice this round. I’m sitting between two War Sun techs now and that changes the situation. I still have a shot at winning and Morgoth getting a couple extra action cards is more preferable to having that shard floating around.
