Alright, so Morgoth and IH are voting on Morgoth for the policy agenda - that's 24 votes.

Tatts has offered his votes to Morgoth for 1 TG, that'd be another 5 votes bringing Morgoth up to 29 votes.

Drek, Tapper, Twelve are voting for Twelve - that's 36 votes.

Which leaves me and Nom?

So it seems. I guess you and Nom can try and dictate the Shard (albeit Morgoth/IH might changes their minds and vote on that too, now, knowing how the votes lie)

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Yeah, but see *I* needed Mallice for the SO VP too! If you'd said you needed it for an SO we could've worked out taking turns on it... though I guess that didn't work out so well for Blend and Gnaw...

To be fair, Gnaw's a dickhole whereas Twelve generally isn't.

I've updated my votes to toss all 10 at Morgoth for Shard.

Wait there is more than one SO involving mallice?

You were doing a pretty good job vs tatts to be fair.

Well I'm open to creative solutions, you have a lot of trade goods, and as a good pirate I'm always open to bribery :p

I guess the pertinent question is, what are you going to do if not aggressing me? Because if the answer is "sit still and build more ships / complete objectives" then I'm not really doing myself any favours, am I? Just postponing the aggression to a later inevitable time when you have even more ships, or else just being placid until you win the game.

The list of SOs can be found in post 4 of the Chat Thread if you wanna go have a gander!

I mean what else would I be doing? Scoring objectives and building ships is sort of important for winning the game, which is what I'm trying to do...

I could be paid to do something else, but my ultimate focus is winning the game so I'm not going to make a deal which stops me doing that...

It is probably the one where you need a ship in an alpha and one in a beta wormhole. Malice marks both boxes.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Before you finalize those votes:

D’rek I’ll give you my Political Secret PN to give the law to Morgoth.
A - Twelve has no idea what tech I want
B - twelve, if you get it the first time I need to stall I’ll use the repeal law on you.
C - twelve, we’ll fihure out a way for me to compensate you’re cooperation in a bit. I’m going to be offline the next 2 hours.

The law you need to repeal is the one where someone gets a vp for winning a battle. Spend it on that instead to stall. Any tech you grab makes you even more dangerous. It seemed obvious that was the likely choice. Even if it's just sareeen tools you pick up you just get more mileage on your production which you already have a lot of.

I tend to get that way when people say they want to borrow my stuff and then it becomes apparent that their definition of borrow is much, much closer to that of keep.
You really don’t want to see my reaction when someone decides they are going to keep the book I loaned them.

It’s a floating vp. You lose the card, you lose the vp. *shrug*

Which makes it that much more dangerous to keep around than eliminating a second action card during the status phase which many already have.

Even the other 2 active laws provide more benefit to the recipient than what I'm getting. It doesn't make any sense but I guess I'll wait until you make your case.

I literally asked to keep it for one extra round and offered a substitute and an action card for you to take that substitute. Never once did I say I wanted to keep it permanently, you're the one that's putting words and motivations into my mouth. Dickhole.

What about I give you my ceasefire then I activate Berg/lira you pop my ceasefire I don't lose ships and you gain 4 TGs.

Yeah, that works for me. Don't even need the ceasefire, you can just activate it and then not move any ships.

Deal.

Alright cool

@Tapper change of plans, put 'em on Twelve

Noted, and very happy to do so.

If Gnaw is threatening to veto the law which I know he will then D'rek I'm not paying for something I'm not going to get any benefit from. I'm out for our deal unless I can somehow get your racial pn thrown in. Even if not I'll throw my votes to you just make sure Gnaw doesn't get what he wants. I'll wait to hear him out first before making a final decision.

Changed my provisional so that D'rek can control my 9 votes if she wants a switch. I do not know if Khell accepts it.

That sounds truly and completely pointless? You can't even vote.

Hmm, I wouldn't expect Khell to accept that as it's less opportunity given to other players to see us talking in the thread and react to it. But maybe he'd accept a provisional for you to vote whichever way I've most recently said in the chat thread.

You get to veto my use of galactic threat with it. Also keep me from using a rider or sabotaging someone else’s rider.
