So ...

Who are your picks?

Being an Aussie, I figured Casper could be Joel Edgerton, or maybe a suitably grimed-up Hugh Jackman.

Don't know any Canadian redheads, could only think of Jessica Chastain or Julianne Moore for Sam.
Figured Bryce Dallas Howard was a bit young and maybe not good enough to carry off the 'take no prisoners' badassery.
Maybe the lady doctor from Murdoch Mysteries with a red tint?

The fun begins with who plays Murdo(ch), Preident Raine Kent (Alec Baldwin? ;) ), the Canadian PM, The Russian and Chinese bosses and all their science advisers.

The AI voices?

Simon (Elon) Gist? I think it says he's Nigerian?

Kolo? (DR Congo).

The Adonis (Koch) brothers?

I immediately thought of Shohreh Aghdashloo as the UN Secretary General.

Joey Sink the conspiracy buff? Nonny Mouse and King Con (voices) his top contributors?

Thoughts?

Chiwetel Ejiofor as Simon Gist? I think he could do that hopeful, mercurial entrepreneur thing.

Like I suggested in the other thread - Neill Blomkamp to direct?

She's my go to for Samantha, actually. Shoreh could so utterly nail Sam's attitude and dialogue. Altering Sam's ethnicity for the role wouldn't change anything (as far as i can tell halfway thru the book).

I'm not certain she could nail the humour/sarcasm, but Robin (Claire on HOUSE OF CARDS) Wright could probably rock the role too.

The role calls for someone you could picture on a stage trading nasty over-the-top with Margaret Atwood while letting the viewer in on the joke... it's tough shoes to fill.

I could also see Lance Reddick on that role.

Chiwetel is a great choice for Simon

Joey Sink -- Mark Maron
King Con -- David Cross
Nonny Mouse -- William Jackson Harper (Chidi on The Good Place)
UN Sec Gen -- I actually don't know if she can act, but I was picturing Iman the whole time really.
Sam -- Connie Britton
Canadian PM -- Catherine Keener

Thinking a bit more about it, I believe this would do well as a miniseries a la Netflix.

3 x 1 hour eps. 4 tops, only if you did a bit more backstory or expanded some roles/scenes.
