That may be a little bit too optimistic... I think somewhere before 2030 is a safer bet.

Shit, has it been five and a half years since Skin Game?

14 Jul 2020 will be just over six years since SG. And in time for the 20th anniversary of the series. Bloody hell!

I'm shocked that there hasn't been a sequel to Windlass in that time. He seemed so excited for that series.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Oh for sure I enjoyed that other stuff in the meantime, especially Windlass.

But it really just hit me how long it had been. I honestly thought it was about 3, maybe 3 1/2 years tops.

Time is speeding up. I do not like this.

Sources (yes, i have 'sources') tell me it fell victim to the same delays that got PEACE TALKS.

...my sources aren't exactly geniuses...

When is the next one scheduled after Peace Talks? Is his rate going to speed back up?

One would hope so but we won't see it for a while...

Jim Butcher is planning to write Book #2 of his Cinder Spires series after he completes Peace Talks. It will be called The Olympian Affair.

If he is back to his usual writing speed then it'll be probably 2 years minimum before we see the next Dresden...

We were getting a new Dresden roughly every other year even when he was writing ALERA so i suspect an alternating SPIRES and DRESDEN (IT GROWZ!) per year thing is what we can hope for if his personal life doesn't detonate again.

It would probably help if somebody edited the title to something more generic.

Praise Be.

Going to start a Dresden re-read soon. I know I won’t be able to do a full re read before Peace Talks. Probably start with either Death Masks, Dead Beat, or Changes.

And will probably be determined by which one I can find first.

I want to do a re-read but I don't want to do one before I know Butcher is back on a year or two year release schedule.
