full blown american style movie. get the people who did the special effects from avatar. cohen brothers can direct. give it that no country for old men kind of effect where its still and quite but you know the shits about to hit the fan because the novels like to lead up to that kind of thing. and for the sake of the movie and all those unfortunate people who havent read make it more shit hitting the fan and less build up. and no famous actors would suffice, because there already known and it would ruin the novels if you seen the movies then tried reading the books again and couldnt help but picture jack black as kruppe. although nick nolte would make a good mott irregular.
If MBotF was to become a movie, what kind would you like it to be?

All I can say is...please not anime or any kind of cartoony fakeness!
"Ignoring him, she stepped back out of the ellipse and began singing in the Woman's Language, which was, of course, unintelligible to Iskaral's ears. Just as the Man's Language-which Mongora called gibberish-was beyond her ability to understand. The reason for that, Iskaral Pust knew, was that the Man's Language was gibberish, designed specifically to confound women."

We'll see how HBO does with GRRM's "A Game of Thrones", but I think and HBO or Showtime miniseries format could tackle some of Erikson's tMBotF. Lord knows but it'd probably take 20+ seasons to do the whole series of books; so, they'd probably have to cherry pick plot-lines.

If tMBotF ever became a movie, I'd like it to be a romantic comedy. Starring Adam Sandler opposite Jennifer Aniston. Jack Nicholson plays Adam Sandler's dad, and Tom Cruise his clinically insane brother. Adam and Jennifer have a troubled relationship, but just when you think everything is going to work out for the best, Tom sits on Icarium's pie. Icarium goes nuclear and everyone gets incinerated. I think Thrall from WOW could pull off Icarium.

It would have to be an hbo series, done by quinton terantino. he could do it right, and has the right sense of dark humor and could add the level of violence to the action scenes. He has also done many movies in the past where there are many different sub stories going on at the same time which converge in the end , and does a good job at it as well. I think he could help take the malazan world to the tv screen or even the big screen sucessfully and people would love it

I think the Malazan series would look great as an Avatar The Last Airbender type animation.
