just re-reading gotm and was wondering if one of the warrens at quick ben's disposal is some form of chaos. from what ive read it doesnt seem to be one of the twelve, however he does seem to use it in gotm. when he travels to shadow realm to do a deal with old shadowthrone, he uses a spell of recall to scarper out of there before he gets beaten and the narrative says,

'quick ben whispered a word of recall, a word born of chaos.'

seeing as the only people to use chaos are either turned looney like hairlock, or turned grotesquely ugly like them edur in MT, it seems a bit strange. any thoughts?

likely qb picked up a few tricks here and there, but is smart enough to know that he cant devote himself to chaos. prolly, becuase he wanted to taunt shadowthorne then get the hell out he decided he would use it.

Specifically this quote is a GotM-ism, it has no relevance whatsoever. As for Chaos, Quick Ben could travel it and use it to some extent but from what I gather, practically every mage can do it. It's just too risky and dangerous to be used as anything more than secret passages betwen conventional warrens.

Quick also told Hairlock that he'd already been to the spar of andii, which seems to be far down some path of chaos. If chaos can be said to have paths.
