Currently reading MT and came up with a question.
In the beginning it shows the Tiste Andii and Tiste Edur after killing the majority of the K'Chain Che'Malle(spelling?). The leaders of the two races, Scabandari and his Andii counterpart have a conversation. And then Scabandari stabs the Andii in the back and his army devours the Andii army. Yet later on the Edur call Scabandari Father Shadow, and the Andii the betrayer.
Is this a false belief on the part of the Edur? Or am I reading it wrong. I haven't read the entire book by the way so forgive this works itself out later on and I don't know about it.

the edur are mistaken. the years have twisted their memory into thinking that they had been betrayed, and not the other way around. keep reading and people make comments on that statement.

Better wait and read the whole book, most of these things become clear then

"The victors write history" This was said by some roman dude, or maybe about some roman dude, I can't remember. But, it applies here... The Edur wouldn't look very favourably upon their uber-hard dude (blood-shot eyes or whatever his name was
) had they known that he was a backstabbing betrayer of the super cool Andii. Either that or they do know and don't want to admit that they are basically a bunch of scummy lowlifes who have to betray the Andii to beat them, cos they know the Andii would completely kane there 4$$3$ if it came to a true fight...
