I haven't seen it or hard nothing of it but that's still very weird. The guy should continue to play football until he is suspended or convicted of a crime. This is a multi million pound industry, what's the repercussions of him playing out his contract? You can't tell me the Chiefs won't miss him?

Don't understand.

The public backlash on the team for keeping him when the video came out would be enormous. KC did the right thing in cutting him quickly. He will most likely be suspended this year and perhaps next year. He didn't tell the NFL nor his team everything that happened. Which is a major No no. He is still young so he might play again in a year or so.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Is it the video in the hotel lobby where he pushes her twice? If it is then that's lame. Is there another one where he actually does something? What a stupid twat, just be a man and walk away. I don't know enough tbh, but if it is just that video then America be crazy.

Officially, he's let go because he lied to the front office of the Chiefs when they asked him in february about the incident and said he was in his hotel room and nothing happened. The video directly contradicts that in the most visible way possible.
Off the record: this is a backlash because the NFL has a REALLY big problem with how they deal with social issues.

As for being allowed/ not allowed:
There is a massive amount of hypocrisy surrounding sexual abuse/ racism/ bullying in US Sports, or rather, with the way organisations deal with these issues, both on the professional level and on the amateur university/ college level. Organisations tend to try and pretend nothing happens when a prize athlete/ staff member is convicted of something, to the point of leaning on law enforcement/ political contacts to keep players out of jail. Essentially, the Chiefs and the NFL both conducted research into Hunt's claim and they concluded there was no proof, therefore they acted as if nothing happened. Now that Hunt's shown on video, they wash their hands of him.
It's pretty standard behavior when an issue can no longer be ignored/ suppressed after being ignored/suppressed before (see Ray Rice). Some time next season, Kareem Hunt will be proclaimed a changed man somewhere next year and some team will contract him.
Cheerleader policies are a whole other cesspit, which starts with ridiculous rules for non-paid staff and crosses the border into the borderline pimping of said employees to sponsors.

Finally, the sport is differently stratified. In the US, most national sports leagues are cartels. The clubs are the league and the league runs the sport: as if the Premier League was its own sporting association, not part of the FA, and Liverpool was not only playing in the competition, but also in charge of its rules, its sponsorship deals and its revenue, equally shared with the other 19 teams in it. As a result, the NFL tries to be a self-policing entity that has an opinion and a rule for everything.

So my opinion of all that is that they have a zero tolerance policy across the league. Would other teams have dropped him in that form? I'd have just rode the media backlash if it meant winning a Superbowl. There's always a bigger scandal and always a new story. I've seen worse elsewhere in sport, a lot worse.

I think that most teams would have dropped him. Maybe not so fast but yea the longer he remains on a roster the more public relation damage is happening. Plus they were probably able to cut him and cite his lying to the team as evidence of why they don't have to continue to pay him. Thus freeing up cap space.

That's my season over anyway. I thought losing Gordon would be okay if I still had Hunt but now I'm happy if I get 70 points.

Gordan might be back this week or next. Yeah those are both tough losses. Your team was tight off of the line and looked good throughout. Only to be undone at the goal line.

I really need it to be this week! Take out Brujah if possible but that's highly improbable.

It would make the rest of us happy. Brujah is scary. It's impossible to predict which of his 20 waiver wire transactions will go off and ruin your week.

Dude, you still have a really good line up and our points projections are less than 10 points apart.

You have Cam Newton, Tyreek Hill, Marlon Mack, Jordan Reed, a great kicker and defense. You're projecting at around 110 points hoping Gordon plays.

Even if Gordon don't, you can snag an RB from free agency. There's a few that will be there that could have big games.

It's about a coin toss as far as percentages. I'd play your team against mine or mine against yours, and feel about the same way about it.

You drafted one hell of a team, but you have to start protecting yourself from injuries/women beaters. You did good to grab Marlon Mack, but you need to play the waiver wire more. I'm not saying crazy like me, but maybe handcuff at least one of your backs, pick up potential players on the way up, etc....

In my money league, Fournette might cost me the money. Had he not played thursday, I might have swapped him out by Sunday.

I thought he might have high volume with them replacing Bortles, but then again the Titans would just stack the box, knowing this new QB wouldn't have any type of play action.

All the RBs I've been looking at have been added to Brujahs bench. Looks like he doesn't want me picking up in that area.

Very likely. A common techic during the playoffs. Brujah doing it when you are 6 hours off is a bit much though.
