The wording of Ceasefire would suggest that it is *not* a choice whether to activate it.

As said by D'rek herself.

yeah, we've always played that it's a thing you have to do, not can chose to.

Hey IH, how about I take Quann this round and then you can have it back sometimes later. You wont lose anything because in the end we'll all die from the heath death of the universe.

This made me giggle so much. Yes, giggle. My girlfriend gave me one of her despairing stares as I tried to explain that you had to know the context.

I've given up trying to explain the happenings of this game to the girlfriend.

I would disagree with her, actually.

The wording of Ceasefire says:

Quote

Play after the L1Z1X player activates a system that contains 1 or more of your units | The L1Z1X player cannot move units into the active system. Then, return this card to the L1Z1X player.

whereas the wording for Support for the Throne, for example, says:

Quote

When you receive this card, if you are not the L1Z1X player, you must place it faceup in your play area and gain 1 victory point. If you activate a system that contains 1 or more of the L1Z1X player's units, or if the L1Z1X player is eliminated, lose 1 victory point and return this card to the L1Z1X player.

I would say that the first is a choice - a condition under which a player may play the card is given. Whereas the second is not a choice - if someone activates one of your systems and they hold your SftT, they automatically lose it.

Huh, forgot about that. I think I was wrong though, there's an official clarification somewhere I think. Blends call.

As noted above - Ceasefire is the holder of the PN's choice, SftT is automatic. Final decision.

I don't see Gnaw's latest build on the map. Is there a reason for this?

Just a brain fart - I've added and uploaded an updated map!

Gnaw - please review your CTs - I think you should be at 0/4/2.

I had a busy weekend so didn't keep up to date, Gnaw has now passed, so I think that means only D'rek has not passed as of yet. Not 100% though.

Well a lot of negotiation between you and I, for example, will be done during Status/Agenda phase. If you are looking to co-operate then there'll be no problems between us.

@Gnaw - no reply to any of my previous comments/questions?

Look, I'll make this easy for you with even further incentive. (I shouldn't have to go to such measures to persuade you to not give a huge advantage to a leading player who earlier this round was talking about attacking you, but whatever).

I'm holding the Uprising action card -- pick a planet, exhaust it, and gain TGs for its resource value.

Obviously the best planet to pick is Daemon - nothing personal, it just has the highest resource value and I'd get the most TGs. But on top of the aforementioned issues and offers, if you quash Enforce Travel Bans I will also promise not to use Uprising on you, either.

I do have plenty of experience of defending my home world after all.

Also I've posted my Status Phase provisional with Blend. And I'm sure it all comes to a surprise to everyone that I score zero points yet again. We are house ruling low points wins right right?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I could vote for you in return for a few trade goods. You're at no risk of losing it I assume? Or would it immediately be transferred to Tapper?
