Yes that was pretty crazy. San Jose swept Anaheim too.
Although if you look at the team names it should have been obvious, knights beating kings and sharks beating ducks.
A duck would have no chance against a shark, unless it was some type of mighty duck.
Terrible jokes aside, the leafs are posed to continue their comeback tonight, without kadri still sadly after his moronic hit that got him suspended for 4 games.

On the Penguins front:
Sid the Kid surpassed Super Mario in playoff points. Damn. That one creeped up on me. I wasn't even aware he was that close to Super Mario. I think it makes sense though, because wasn't Mario's career shortened by injury? Of course didn't Sid have to sit out a year because of symptoms caused by too many concussions? In any event, kudos to Sid the Kid! Super Mario is a Pittsburgh legend!

I wish i had time to watch hockey, but as it is it'll be like college basketball, I'll watch the finals.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Watching a game now for the 1st time. Says first round game 4 Eastern Conference.
Excellent yes, another convert.
Since you watched the Toronto-Boston game I should let you know the only reason the leafs lost is because one of their top scorers/defensive forwards was suspended. Definitely the only reason and nothing else.

Also, the refs were crooked, the ice was tilted, and the arena HVAC was blowing the wrong way.

Absolutely! HVAC is super important, imagine having to play with air blowing in your face the whole time slowing you down.

Damn. Flyers and Avs decided they wanted to make it interesting. Can Maple Leafs do the same? I doubt. Boston is too strong. <<<<< see what I did there? huh? huh? Boston Strong, get it?

The Leafs won on saturday in Boston and now they're back in Toronto tonight so who knows? As long as they can stop getting penalties every other minute they may have a good chance.

Fucking assholes.

Wow that's surprising, pretty rare for hockey fans to throw stuff on the ice, except for Detroit and their octopuses. Unless there's a hat trick, then it's allowed.

The Leafs win again, going to game seven! Didn't play very well but they won and that's all that matters. This series is playing out eerily similar to the last time they played Boston in the playoffs which makes me nervous.
Absolutely, they ended the regular season 9 points ahead of San Jose so I think they have a good chance at winning. San Jose is a good team too so it should be a close series.

As it should, but yeah, this turned into far more of a contest than i expect.

They totally have a shot, tho San Jose does tend to shine in playoffs.

Like I said, you just gotta have faith, and I have faith that the leafs won't choke and blow it again in this game 7. We have Anderson, now if only the rest of the team could help him out and get the puck out of their own zone...

For sure, it should be a fun series to watch.
Still weird to see the Sharks without Marleau though but I'm happy he's on the leafs, he's been fantastic this year.

Wow that is terrifying. Although technically he was never really my mayor, I'm from a town outside Toronto so it's slightly less embarrassing for me...
And as terribly disappointed as I am that the Leafs lost it may be for the best as I'm pretty sure the leafs making it to the second round is one of the signs of the apocalypse. As I was getting on the train last night I saw four horseman riding towards Maple Leaf Square last night so I was a little nervous.

Those were just the mounted crowd control cops, don't sweat it. If that's the sign we should be ok for a while.
...tho i admit i was semi-cheering them on in a small side compartment of my brain that i mostly ignore....

You're probably right, although one of them had a black hood and a sword strapped to his back and his horse had glowing red eyes, but it's probably just the new police uniform.
Of course you were cheering, every GTA Ontarion has that compartment in their brains, some just accept their true selves where others try to deny who they know they really are.

Well, if you like basketball (which I doubt anyone on Malazanempire do) then you can still root for the Toronto Raptors. They are up 3 games to 2 on the Washington Wizards.
I'm just like DeRozan, if I shoot it, it goes in
