Dude, if he's giving you all that, then he's desperate for the VP as he's found a way to win the game with it. He won't need any of that stuff if the game's over next round so he's happy to give it to you. And what use to you is his ceasefire PN if he has your SftT? Obviously he won't attack you if he has that.

I really don't see how it can be in any way a good idea to give one player both the speaker chip AND another VP at this juncture.

It certainly adds a new tactical dimension to things. I've left provisionals with D'rek, I have family visiting so unsure when I'll get chance to post.

The dynamics of this game are quite interesting. Being a relatively strong military power for most of the game, and somewhat of a bogeyman for the later parts, being able to take Imperial has been a lost cause for me for quite some time. I recognize that, and understand why, and so I had to shift my focus from Mecatol Rex to someplace else. Sure I could have prevented anyone else from taking it, but that would simply have left me at a disadvantage. Now IH, whom have struggled with a weak position early, but in a relatively peaceful part of the galaxy, stand in a much better position to win. I should have tried to get Gnaw's support for the throne too, but to be honest I just assumed he'd never part with it at this point.
