Presume you meant to exhaust your planet and spend an extra TG?

I was torn between Magen Defense Grid and Duranium Armour this turn.

Duranium is much, much better than Magen.
Magen is useable once a round, not even once per combat (you need to exhaust the tech) and there needs to be a PDS present - not sure if it has to be your own. That limits the pool of planets on which you can use it even further, and in most cases, it will prevent at best some casualties but may not win you the battle outright.
Duranium has value in every battle in which you have a Flagship or one or more Dreads or War Suns (or, for Sol, also the Carrier, which makes their carriers awesome).
If you can skip Magen with a red planet, I would do it.

Yep, I was always planning on Duranium Armour but wanted to know if Magen affected ground battle when attacking a planet, seem as everyone has a bajillion units on every planet. Won't matter soon though

Hah, I saw Plague just yesterday among the list of Action Cards and thought, "I wonder...". Snivelling coward.
Well, let's see who fortune favours. Interestingly, if Morgoth hadn't left me that opening to Arinam-Meer last go, I was going to drop troops on Quann instead. Not sure if I'm glad I didn't now or not.

It's going to be great if I actually win this game despite everyone trying to take pieces out of me. Not that it will happen, but a man can dream.
Hope someone takes advantage of Tatts' preoccupation elsewhere hint hint hint!

Tatts should have used it on mecatol rex! 😉
Are we saying that blend researched carrier then by expending the extra TG?
Because blends capability to reach me affects what I'm going to do!

I am sure if that is what he wanted to do, then that is what he will do. I debated Mecatol Rex, but those going to take that are probably going to be the ones up the green tech tree ie Twelve.

He could afford it at the moment of research, just 1 TG more (which I think he has?).
As such, it is not an illegal move, just needs to redo costs. Closest alternative without Thibah is Gravity Drive.

@IH:
You placed a CT in Tequ'ran/Torkan system with the Construction secondary, and then tried to activate it again for a tactical action. Can't do that - if the system already has a CT you can't activate it. Need to change your turn.

Tatts - I'd like to buy the Alpha Wormhole token placement from you if I could.
At the moment, I'd be able to offer you the 4TGs I'm going to make from Production Biomes this round, my votes for the agenda phase (I don't particularly care about either of the current agendas, but I may have to break our deal if a different agenda comes up that I feel I need to vote a certain way on), I could even give you my Ceasefire PN? Anything else that might strike your fancy? I'm very interested in choosing its placement next round.
