Can I get some clarification on the Diplomacy primary ability? I've been avoiding it as it states you only refresh all planets in the system you choose but IH chose Silvano but refreshed planets Retillion and Shalloq which are in a different system. Is the wording wrong or am I misunderstanding it or did IH refresh invalid systems?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Are the planets he selected in the system he chose?
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

You are right (and I always forget that bit of the DIPLO strategy). Should have only refreshed Silvano.
Though it's worth noting that a lot of people hate that part of the DIPLO card and house-rule it to be refresh any 2 planets for the primary and the secondary, if you guys prefer that. As-written, it does make DIPLOMACY an annoying strategy card where you want to play it quick for the DMZ effect but have to wait a turn or two to not waste the refresh ability, by which point the DMZ effect might be useless.

Ih Khell played leadership, do you not want to gain back command tokens with your influence?
I completely missed that, whoops I'd set aside 3 influence for it too, anyone mind a retcon?
I hadn't actually specified Silvano as a dnz in my provisional, drek did that not sure why, but if I could have done that I would have!
Not sure what to do given the new directives. Twelve you still willing to support me on a directive?

I would be in favor of the house rule effect where we can refresh any 2 planets as per the secondary ability. If that is the case there in no retcon needed for IH and it does make that card a lot more valuable. I probably would have taken it this round instead of construction if that were the case.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeah, your provisional just said to use the strategy without saying where, and I assumed you wanted to protect the system that had no defenses and 2 adjacent Mentak dreadnoughts you had previously expressed worry about

I also noticed something else - you exhausted Silvano for both a green tech prerequisite and 2 resources at the same time (can only do one or the other)...

Simplest retcon/fix would be to fix the planets that got readied from DIPLOMACY and then you'll have to research a different tech since you can't afford Hyper Metabolism.

Even if we do go with that houserule, it will only take effect starting next strategy phase. Too unfair to change the meaning of a strategy card mid-action phase.

Which directive? Currently I'm going to vote for Qucen'n for the disarmament and against the Swords so all my planets aren't completely undefended. If you feel strongly about anything else let me know and I probably can be convinced to vote for you for a price.

Not a problem. I can get behind that.

Well yes I did but thought I couldn't. I was quite pleased when you did thought I'd misunderstood the rule.
Which it seems I have with Silvano, hmm nowhere near as valuable as I'd thought!
So I'm one resource short if I exhaust the 1/2 planet in my home system? With the retcon to diplomacy ability I'd have been able to refresh gwynan instead of that planet correct? That would give me 3 extra resources so I'd be ok right?

Actually I think I may have changed my mind on the Swords agenda. I need to talk to the mod to see if what I want to do is viable.

We're not re-conning the diplomacy ability. Just might house-rule it starting next round since it seems kinda lame... but let's wait and see what everyone else thinks before deciding. Either way, your usage of it should have been as-written this round.
