Tech nerds.
Buying a new laptop, budget is in the £1000 mark. Can't do build a bear for this so it needs to be an out of the box option that I can get prices for from 2 suppliers.
Looking at this:
HP Pavilion
Decent for the money?
Over priced?
is there better about for that money that is a pre built?
want, SSD, decent size screen, TB space, running photoshop (infrequently) video editing (low end) office apps and old school games.
Technerds, assemble! Is this even a thing? General tech discussion too, I guess

Apologies Maccy for butting in.
So ... what about that "end of support for Windows 10" eh?
I have a computer that apparently can't run Windows 11 and to upgrade would suck. People say "just change to Linux" but I'm not a tech nerd (hence this thread), and would it run everything I currently do just the same?
I've seen a few other options like paying for another year of support but why should I have to?
Not too keen on upgrading to Win 11 because Win 10 is quite good and 11 sucks. How I miss Win 7!
Fuck Microsoft. Some estimates say around 400 million PCs around the world are in a similar situation. Built in obsolescence is just sheer greed.
I've watched a few Youtube videos on this and no option looks appealing atm.
