I must confess I don't really get the point. I have a few books signed by an author but that is from when I met them in person at a bookstore or a convention. So it is a personal memento from that event. But to me a signature has no added meaning whatsoever if it does not have some sort of personal memento value. Same with these pre-signed photographs that they sell by the bucketload at certain shows. I mean, what is the draw? But each to their own, I guess.
