I'll be on properly in a few hours, just leaving work. The stalled lynch is very interesting, agreed. I'm going to try and step away from my Aranatha focus (at least initially) and examine both potential lynches. My first instinct is that, in ether case, scum would have stayed largely quiet and not tried to influence the direction of the lynch too much (other than seeing to its stalling through their non-participation).

For the record, when I posted the vote count, there were 4 anons. At timeout, there were 3.
I'm not sure why exactly I'm considered responsible for "stalling" a lynch, when I explicitly stated I would be on till timeout (if you must know, I was working. From time to time, I have to take work home and do it on my own time).
Anyway, you may think OMGUS or w/e, but
vote Kalse
Since they were around last evening, but did not bother to vote. If anyone "stalled" a lynch, that'd be them.

I hope this is you throwing a scum member under the bus Kalse, because your town play so far has not been stellar.
I'd be willing to go with your vote though after that end of day performance from them yesterday.

I find it interesting EP how quickly you jump in to join my vote without throwing your usual book of quotes at it.
Moreover, if my town play was stellar you would have to entertain my scumminess more, no?

vote Aranatha
I'm still around till timeout, if anyone has other suggestions.

24 minutes till time out before bringing Aranatha to L-1. And then expressing outrage. That is stalling and using the moment to make yourself seem town. Almost laughably transparent.

No, I am willing to go along with your vote. I'm not even going to look too deep into Tennes either.
Your vote comes out of the blue and I think its in our interest to test it.

That's me for the weekend. I think Kalse's vote on Tennes needs to be tested.

I would say scum is playing both sides. One a sleeper the other a talker. It is interesting watching this Jalan and Aranatha back and forth. And NG just tossing down a vote and leaving.
Here, Kalse posts 3 hours before timeout and doesn't vote.
And if your accusation of me is "you need to vote early so that someone can hammer" , when I clearly indicated "I'm around, and can listen to other suggestions and will vote by end of Day" then all I got to say, it's a very sad state of Malaz mafia.
Like, am I supposed to believe that Kalse, or Ay, or anyone else that may have been around and not voting Aranatha NEEDS to see another vote before voting? As in, "here, let me hold your hand while you hammer?"
I refuse to be blamed for "stalling" in this regard. If I really wanted to "stall" the lynch, I would just lurk and post nothing after 5:30 PM when I left work.
You will never convince me that being around and NOT voting is more scummy than voting a short time before timeout. That's a new level of dumb

To all your accusations, I have a single answer: where the fuck was your vote last night?
#233
Posted 27 October 2017 - 04:18 PM
It was not provided. Partly careless on my part, partly because i ended up busy with something else, and partly because i wasn't able to crystallize a solid vote on either. Now I have, and i feel like seeing the lynch fail last night gave me new insight into who was scum. You may have voted, but I say it was very calculated.

BS. I don't have a family, I usually don't go to bed before 1 AM. The day was timing out around 10 30 PM, which is not that late in my books.
I was refreshing, I saw people were lurking and not posting, so I was hoping to get more input on the interesting situation we had. I expected you to vote, in particular, since I didn't expect you to leave without voting.
When the time got fairly critical, I voted. How is that "calculated" if it's apparently painting such a mark over me?

Ah, but you said one thing and voted another. And leaving it to 24 min is a little too tight. I have a feeling if we lynch Aranatha, we will hit scum there as well. That is my current working theory.

Would you rather lynch Tennes for stalling the lynch or Aranatha for being protected though?

You are asking the person who could have voted Aranatha. But didn't.
And you accuse me of "stalling" ?

I accused you of nothing. I simply want Kalse to clarify his stance.
Frankly, I'm just suspicious of Kalse and Ay for not voting at all.
The only thing that is crystal clear for any of us to see at the moment is that yesterday's lynch stalled through players withholding votes.

Tennes. Because the theory had more to do with his behavior than aranatha's guilt or innocence. My hypothesis on Aranatha arises from Tennes behavior and the assumption that scum would save one of their own if possible, but would also risk sacrifice to come off stronger.
It was win win for Tennes to place that vote. If Aranatha was lynched, well bully, there is scum, why would I go out of my way to make it easier to kill my own, I must be town. If not lynched, well I did my part (24 min prior to the time out of a 36 hour day, most of the end of which I was lurking) and you idiots didn't get the lynch,I am obviously town for doing my part, QED.

I do wonder if the lynch of Dejim, the lack of other options and the kill of Thyr was protection of Jalan or Tennes but based off the votes and the train I still want to vote Ay Estos. Vote Ay EstosKalse, why did you think that Dejim's vote on Jalan was distancing?Does anyone find value in scum not wanting to lynch Dejim? ie why Aranatha did what they did? If Osseric was not around then the lynch would have failed. What are people's thoughts on the reasoning for Dejim's votes? ie those who voted for the signalling comments compared to those who voted for his not questioning the question mark.

AH the rock smells what your cooking. I just reread the vote count. my voting Janal right after you, to take him to L-2 helps you out, but to apperar that it doesn't, you cast doubt on my integrity. Okay I will play balremove votevote aranathaNow it's all even and we can leave it up to the night bears.
Ng, not all that clear. Firstly, Jalan hit l-2 first for about an hour. No nibbles, no one put him at l-1. So then Aranatha hits the same threshold. Again nothing. So this is what I am not sure of. If both Jalan and Aranatha are inno, why didn't scum jump on the chance to nix them. Conversely, if they are both scum, does the lack of lynch equal protection. It is odd behavior, and i am assuming that part of the reason no one put down the 5th vote was not wanting to come under suspicion, at least not before it was beneficial.
We had vote stalling on two people. That is very odd don't you think?
