Yeah I'm going to play the busy card also. Sorry. I will try to make some sense of the lynch train before work tomorrow.

So there I was... on the floor with chicken fat dripping off my face, when someone asked "why'd you flinch?"

I agree that their cases don't make sense, but I don't think they're scummy because of it. It's just that they're trying to do something useful with very little info to go on. An admirable sentiment all things considered.

Honestly? Jalan.
Specifically, this post of theirs directed at me:

Like, I don't remember the last time PS didn't count a vote because the weird ass Malaz name wasn't spelled correctly (I don't actually remember that ever happening). Jalan's comment just jumped out to me as scum being a little bit to overzealous in his townie act.
Though I admit I may be a little bit biased; cause I obviously knew I meant my question as a fun jab.

First the reasons people voted Dejim
Signalling - Tennes and Skintick
Not questioning the OP - Jalan and Merrid
Distancing - Kalse
To get the lynch - Osseric
No reason - Ay Estos and Aranatha
My take on that is Tennes, Skintick and Osseric have valid reasons. The rest don't.

Now Dejim is already got his sights set on Jalan, way before Jalan votes for Dejim. This post by Jalan brings up the matter of signlling, and is what Dejim is referring to.
Dejim reads the OP and doesn't have any questions about why the '?' is there. That to me looks like you have a scum PM therefore didn't even realise why there might be an issue.
Vote Dejim Nebrahl
you forgot to say OMGUS before that.
here, let me show you how its done:
OMGUS
vote Jalan
this is partly because you suck and partly because I felt like you were signalling straight off the batt, and your role spec.
It was obvious (to me, sorry if you're a little slower) that there are 3 killers working as a team from that op and the fact that this is meat and potatoes with a little veg.
its an open set up, laid out clearly, you were throwing mud into the water. So please scum, continue building your gibbet for yourself
So here we have two people voting for each other.
Skintick questions the signalling AND DEJIM DOES NOT FUCKING REPLY. This bit pisses me off because he could have explained it, but also I think people overlooked the fact that Jalan was the first to bring that up.
Now so far this pushes me to be suspicious towards Jalan. I'd vote Jalan here, but I was sleeping, and was being jovial the night before, messing round.
However, looky here,
This post attacks Dejim for stupidity, YET not for the signalling comments but the comments on role speculation, kills in a game and D day. This post set off a red flag in the context of the game.
TBC..

Doubly so for Jalan who could easily be a sump signalling or a killer telling someone to be careful signalling.

Much like people have said about my case, I don't understand Eldat's.
What do people not understand about my vote on Aranatha? I am happy to try and explain any confusions, and also use smaller words.

So Ay Estos says there is no better lynch target so far, does he respond to my vote? No. Does he answer Merrid's joke? No. Strikes me as someone who does not want to post too much lest they slip.
No reason to vote Dejim, and he does not believe Dejim to be scum. Does not have to back up his/her vote.

I'd rather not put him on L-1 just now though, so I'll wait a little.

Kalse, why did you think that Dejim's vote on Jalan was distancing?
Does anyone find value in scum not wanting to lynch Dejim? ie why Aranatha did what they did? If Osseric was not around then the lynch would have failed.
What are people's thoughts on the reasoning for Dejim's votes? ie those who voted for the signalling comments compared to those who voted for his not questioning the question mark.

I'm not sure why I or anyone else would need protecting from a Mac OMGUS vote.
I'm still not sure what your issue with Ay is.
I think my reasoning was pretty good for D1. It looked like a slip, very early in game. Of course it was wrong but hindsight is all well and good. Also can you imaging going into endgame with that hanging over him? He further compounded the mistake with the signalling which on an "obvious setup" shouldn't have been there.
Value to scum not wanting to lynch him is obviously because if he then went to endgame he'd be a pretty easy case to drive through.
If you're positing that Aranatha messed up spelling because they're scum then why aren't you voting for them?
I've had a shit days sleep and have started early on the coffee as a result, don't expect too much in the way of coherence from me till later in the Day.
First of all, Mac was already pointing the finger at you before you voted him. I'd prefer town in end game all day long, I did not see it as a slip. Nor did you really, I thought your questioning of the question mark was banter. It didn't look like serious questions. You bring up the signalling but like I said before, you were the first to bring that up. I wanted to highlight the Aranatha vote/not vote because it seemed a bit strange.
Thank you for responding though, something in which Kalse has failed to do.

These two posts, one after the other, pinged all sorts of alarms. I explained why in my vote post.
That's an interesting amount of effort on a D1 case
Written as clearly as possible so nobody can misunderstand or misrepresent what you're saying
A reasoning that is none of the D1 cliches provides interesting alternative to the obvious choice of voting the one outstanding guy who recklessly posted some bs
Too clean?
Anyway Ay's post seems completely sensible to me in the context, plus it doesn't appear like Jalan needed to be defended, unless you're thinking fake-symping
And the post doesn't prompt any further spec about kills as far as I can see(you wanted comments)
It appears Tennes has already said the most important things from my last posts
This Dejim train has picked up speed really easily, but I can see why and the lack of resistance wouldn't be surprising with 3 paired killers as opposed to usual killer+symp combo so I too prefer Dejim
Will hold off voting for now

I saw the game started last night, and people talking about the game instead of dragonsex, you boring fuckers
Jalan/Thyr/Tennes comment on PS's wording and start on role speculation.
Dejim calls them out, but also posits that there may be some sort of signalling going on, which I do not see why that would be the case.
Path-Shaper clears up the mechanic speculation.
Kalse in turn is suspicious of those talking mechanics.
To be fair, I did not have questions either. I glanced at it and thought three killers, healer and finder, okay. *nodded head
Dejim makes his point again on role speculation, then returns the vote for Jalan. The downside to this vote is having the signalling part of it, I don't see why there'd be signalling. I'd see the vote for role speculation.
Skintick also agrees about signalling being pointless here.
Now here is the reason I am going to vote.
Jalan and Dejim are indeed butting heads so this looks to me like a chainsaw defense.
He doesn't only attack Dejim but he also wants to start talk on mechanics speculation again (how many kills in a game?), I am going off one per night unless we see something different, to start speculation on that when we have no evidence to the contrary is scummy in itself.

Okay, so the Ay thing is interested. Except it's implying that Ay is defending Jalan, without actually giving an opinion on whether Jalan is scum or not- only that by virtue of "defending" him Ay is scum.
On the other hand, the lizard-cat is all high and mighty about how "obvious" it is that the 3 killers all have off-thread comms, but then literally in the same paragraph he makes signalling accusations- in a game which he "obviously" realizes has no symps, and thus no need for signalling.
The Jalan and Ay thing may warrant a further look (I mean from where I'm sitting, Eldat is kinda shoving Jalan into the spotlight, then switching focus to Ay), but for now I can't ignore the lizard-cat's "obvious" lack of consistency.
