Ok, so I know that S.E. has mentioned that Quick Ben is in the trilogy, but not necessarily in a form we'd recognize. I was talking with a friend about this off-board and she wants a source. Now, after searching the board and practicing my google-fu, I can't find it. Was I mistaken, or can one of you lovely people assist me in finding it?

The quote fu is part of the The crippled God where Quick Ben appears on the spar of Andii and creates a horse out of darkness. As a result we can infer that he/she is a character in the Kharkanas trilogy but don't know for sure who it is.
There is a whole bunch of speculation on who that could be.

No, I too am pretty sure SE has mentioned in an interview or something that QB is in the trilogy but not in a form we'd recognize. It's not just speculation. HOWEVER, I cannot remember where he said that, either.

Concur. Possible tor Re-read in one of his Q/A's?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I'll check again. I'm pretty sure it was an interview pre-Forge, because it had us all looking for QB in Forge.

The Gunslinger: And because I have to ask a question that I know you can’t (or, rather, won’t) answer: Will we ever see Quick Ben again?
Steven: if you do, why, you may not recognize him.
