T'lan Imass & the end of the Ritual

i'm a bit confused about the state of the T'lan Imass across the world...
at the end of MoI, Itkovian released a big chunk of the TI population into the Mhybe's new realm - are they now spirits? ascendants? did Itkovian's sacrifice only affect those TI in the Pannion Domin who attended his death? and incidentally is the throne in the Mhybe's realm somehow connected to the Beast Hold?
also at the end of MoI, Silverfox departs the continent to assist some of the T'lan Imass (who decided not to be released by Itkovian?) in some far off war where another T'lan Imass clan is fighting against humans (one of the TI mentioned a human tyrant in ominous tones) - have i got this right?
i think at some point during HoC, Monok Ochem or Onrack mentions that they can sense Silverfox's calling on a distant continent - doesn't HoC take place after the events of MoI? at any rate, does this mean that some T'lan Imass are now stuck in their undead state (unless destroyed or Silverfox releases them) because they weren't in Itkovian's proximity?
thanks to anyone who can clarify/confirm any of this!

Hope that clears some stuff up for you. And welcome to the forums, always good to see new faces around:)

Itkovian took the suffering of the Imass who agreed to give it to him. Thus, only those who were there at the time. They are now just gone. Dead. Not into the Mhybe's world, I don't think. I haven't read MoI for a while, so I'm a little fuzzy on it, but the ones that Itkovian helped are now nonexistant. Not all of the Imass who were there took part in the Itkovian part, but the vast majority did...
Itkovian took all the memories and pain of the TI, not the TI themselves, he was led to the Mhybe's realm by Pran Chole, where he was told to shed the memories, free them to soak into the earth as the memories belonged in the stone and soil. now the TI will have somewhere to go when they are released from the vow.
Silverfox released the T'lan Ay from the vow, and it is they, who now roam the Mhybe/Beast realm.

yea that sounds about right, itkovian gave the imass a place to go after they were released, rather then oblivion

That part was always fuzzy for me. I find it hard enough to follow the various realms, paths, rituals, and spells in this series. When they finally click, I'm like, "Awesome!" But some parts just leave me scratching my head and then I move on. I've just been hoping that what Itkovian did will be explored further eventually...

@kettle and chocula
If you say so. Like I said, I don't really remember it too well, I was too blown away by how amazing the whole scene was

I thought Toc the Younger/Anaster after Itkovian's Sorrow saw Tool walking away but as a flesh and blood Imass and went to catch up with him? Haven't got the books here
will look for a page reference for y'all...

I think it was Hetan and someone else (Itkovian?) who bump into Tool and his sister on the road. I think Toc sees Tool at one point as well, but doesn't recognize him. Later, Toc/Anaster and Gruntle get together for a drink ... and shoot the breeze about the hot new Shield Anvil the Grey Swords got

Tool wasn't at Itkovian's death though.
I remember properly now, I think. Itkovian prepared the Imass for the ritual by taking their suffering, or whatever it was, so that Tattersail could then release them from the ritual. Tool took part in the releasing from the ritual, but not in Itkovian's sacrifice...

Sorry, it was Hetan and her brother Cafal (not Itkovian) who bump into Tool (now a mortal) and his sister Kilava on the road (last two pages of MoI before the epilogue).

Not Cafal!
Tool is seen as a mortal - but by the sounds of it he is still an awesome fighter... Kilava is the one to start speaking.
Not many humans can use a stone sword, but Tool is off to find one! Expect him back soon!
And when Hetan and Cafal catch up with them:
Yeah, Tool comes up to Toc, and Toc realises there is something different about him:
It then goes on to talk about the mans appearance, being very battle scarred etc. and then they converse briefly...

Quote
'You have no sword'
'Indeed, I have not. Do you think I will need one?'
She leaned close to him. 'Now more than before, I would think.'
'Perhaps you are right. We must needs find a quarry.'

And when Hetan and Cafal catch up with them:
Quote
'You! What is your name?'
The mans smile made her heart catch. 'Onos Toolan.'
Hetan strode closer, offering a wink to the dark haired woman, then settled her eyes once more on the man called Onos Toolan. 'I see more than you can imagine' she said in a low voice.
The warrior cocked his head. 'You do?'
'Aye and what I see tells me you haven't bedded a woman in a long time.'
'The mans eyes widened - oh such lovely eyes, a lovers eyes - 'Indeed' he said, his smile broadening.
Oh yes, my lovers eyes...

This was no Tenescowri, nor a grey sword...

Toc had never seen the man before. 'Hello. Is there something you wish?' he asked, impatient to be away.
The man shook his head. 'I only sought to look upon you, to see that you were well.
