Bummer! Well at least we got the sorcerer.

The congregation gathers around the body of the stranger, arguing over who should be the one to search the corpse. Finally, the Father agrees to handle the situation as he performs prayers over the body of this damned soul and prepares it for burial.
The ritual scarring on the body's torso leave no doubts that he has devoted himself to the Black Arts, however upon searching his possessions the book is nowhere to be found. After discussing this revelation with the rest of the villagers, the only possible conclusion is reached: Osseric could not have been working alone.

We would have gotten him without the blunder. He wasn't immune

I'll move pm's over when I get home tonight. Unless anyone wants to do so in the meantime.
I have some notes that I've taken to improve for when I feel like trying this again in the future, but I think this *was* going more smoothly than my previous attempt.
I got the inspiration for this one from Blend's DnD game that ran the purgatory thread. I wanted to see a game in which dead players kept active in purgatory and came up with the channeler as a way to get that to happen, and I feel like it was pretty successful in that goal.
Anyways, I had fun with this game and I hope you guys did too.

Haha, I'm happy to claim that you robbed me of a stunning solo victory when my imminent comeuppance was more likely
Yep, I was Apprentice, turned rogue day 4, could open up lover convos after that and also resurrect (was going to wait one night so that it wasn't so obvious that I had gained new powers at the same time as Nim's demise. Plan (roughly) was to get you guys to lynch Galain, Jalan and Merrid while I resurrected Thyrllan and my old master. No doubt it would have worked perfectly
As for the RP, that was just for fun - until it came in useful as a cover story to give to Silchas - improvised those 'hints' to my role and all.

Anyways, fun and interesting setup. The RI PM thing really hurt team scum unfortunately, as it PI'd some people who could have been lynched.
I like that channeler role, really interesting. I wonder if it might work even better as some kind of independent role. Think town was a bit OP in the end.

I'd say it hurt us too. It was the direct cause of my death. IMO.

I liked it too. I felt like an idiot when it was finally used and how it hadn't occurred to me beforehand that a Channeller obviously communes with the dead.

While Lady B was in Purgatory longer than I was, this further delay on getting sprung would have sent me even farther over the edge than I already was (which was mighty damn far). At the same time, I was not at all looking forward to becoming an Undead Minion. My Town loyalty was strong, and switching allegiances was going to be tough for me and tough on me.
heh. But I had put some thought into how I was going to try to convince the Town to let me live despite knowing I was surely a Scum Minion. I won't go into the details of that because - you never know - it might come in handy in the future.

unfortunate it had to end like that. Would have been fun trying to convince everyone we should lynch Osserc.

Your hints were disappointingly vague and your usual enthusiasm when describing them was alarmingly lacking, just saying

Pointing out his 3 consecutive hammers would have been a reasonable place to start.
