Wow. Patriots trade back up QB Jimmy Garoppolo to 49ers. Could this help niners turn things around? By all accounts he is an excellent quarterback.

We flipping need something to help us!

So despite the excitement about the new QB, we manage to lose again...

You should be hopeful about next year though. I think with the GM (John Lynch) and coach (Kyle Shanahan) Garoppolo will be in a system where he can succeed. Also, 49ers should be getting a high draft pick.

The highest possibly! Incidentally how do they decide first draft if there are two teams at the bottom (say the Browns and the 49ers, as a random example I just plucked from thin air...)?

Then it's based on your strength of schedule. The team that played the schedule with the lowest win pct picks first.

I think they're on the right track, especially snagging Garoppolo. I always saw him as the Patriots next attempt at Brady 2.0. He reminds me of what Aaron Rodgers went through watching Favre on the bench, which allowed him to learn to be the stud he is. (When he's healthy and not killing my fantasy teams)

Yeppers. All that time as backup to Brady, sponging in all that knowledge. A lot of being a great quarterback in the NFL depends on what you have going on between the ears and not so much pure athleticism. I hope he is ready.

Its something the NFL does called "Color Rush".

Basically a marketing ploy to sell more uniforms.

Ah excellent. I didn’t see a single kneeler just now in Dallas. If they were they didn’t give them camera time. That’s actually the 1st Anthem I have seen aired since the clusterfuck began.

The NFL is not(only my opinion) the place for protest demonstrations. It's one of the few aspects of life left that is supposed to be fun.

I do recognize that there are reasons behind the desire to do so. I'm not siding against the protests, only this specific venue.

Chargers put the beat down on the Cowboys! Both wearing home colors!

Yeah I started Chargers defense again(last week I streamed them against Buffalo's decision to start a rookie QB) against the Cowboys knowing Dak would sputter AGAIN.

Just don't ask me why I've left Dak as my QB during this obvious slump. Losing Rodgers, then having Dak lose Elliot to cause his slump took away any desire to attempt to stream QBs down the stretch.

The NFC looks exciting, while the AFC looks like Patriots - Steelers are set to duke it out for a spot in SB.

Yep. Which means Patriots all the way to the Super Bowl because Belichick and his staff completely out coaches Tomlin and his staff in all facets of the game whenever they meet.

From the NFC side, I wouldn't mind seeing Philly going. I like the young QB (Carson Wentz). Although I can't stand Eagles fans.
