That’s the name of the game. We were great this year so I’m happy as fuck overall.

I said this past week I wasn’t expecting the win but that last 8 mins of playtime had me pacing back and forth in front of tv. It was a great game in the 2nd.

I now have to back them even though I like Eagles more just cause it will be 1st time a team could possibly play the Bowl at home and that will be amazing to see.

Still that last 10 secs can STILL fuck off!

Easy to say from my arm chair with plenty of time to review, but with the play clock running this low: why did the safety go for the receiver's legs while he was in the process of catching the ball, instead of letting Diggs catch it, wait for him to land, wrap his arms around and weigh him down for help to arrive?

Anyway, done is done. The Saints were finally fun in the good sense of the word. If I have to thank Dennis Allen for that, well... stranger things have happened. And now, with a run this good, I'm pretty sure the front office will want to try a win-now strategy for next year, including the more or less required Brees extension which is going to bring the team into salary cap purgatory yet again. And I can't blame them, even.

Yeah. One safety that deep wasn't the smartest play, especially since it was a ROOKIE safety. Not only did he NOT hit Diggs, he knocked down the only other Saints player close enough to tackle Diggs.

So happy the "Aints" and "Scam" Newton have been eliminated. I've been skipping around with a happy whistle on my lips ever since Sunday.

I don't think I could contain myself if the Patst get beat. At that point I would be happy with whomever won the Super Bowl. Lets go Jacksonville!

The psychological games the Patriots have played this past week (and they do this every year) has really annoyed me. Just play the game assholes and leave the psychological warfare out of it.

Oh no, Tony Romo is broadcasting this one. I'm not really sold on him. Certainty not as good as Fox Sports with Buck and Aikman.

"Poles covered in Crisco going up and down the city's streets might not be the safest thing if flames somehow become a part of an Eagles celebration and it will be even more dangerous if the Eagles lose to the Vikings. The biggest question now is if Philadelphia is taking any preventative measures to protect the city's police horses, who were far from safe during last week's divisional round game against the Falcons. If the fans riot, we know they won't have the high ground, but will the service animals be safe to roam the streets?"

"Not surprisingly, Eagles supporters simply took that as a challenge. Following their team's 38-7 rout of the Vikings, sending Philly to a Super Bowl match against the Patriots, there were predictable sightings of elated fans climbing up light poles, Crisco be darned."

"Look no further for proof of Lincoln Financial Field’s raucous reputation than Saturday’s divisional round playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons. Police said an intoxicated man who showed up to the game without a ticket was arrested for punching a police horse and a cop. After getting booted from the stadium, police said, Taylor Hendricks, 22, of Whitehall, Pa., walked over to a mounted police officer and began punching the horse in the face, neck and shoulder. Hendricks then struck the unidentified cop, still on the horse, in the legs"

"A massive fight that left at least one fan bloodied and created chaos in the parking lots of Lincoln Financial Field broke out on Sunday just hours before kickoff between the Eagles and Minnesota Vikings. [...] The brawl got so out of control that six horses were called to the scene in an attempt to control the crowd. [...] The fight was between Eagles' fans and the police officers, particularly their horses."

They really need to start training police horses as proper warhorses. After the third or fourth dumbass attacker is mauled by horse teeth, snapped in half by a kick and then hoof-trampled into a chunky red mush there should be no further incidents.

In Philly that would be a challenge. It's always sunny in Philadelphia is considered a factual show in Philly.

Note that I have never been to Philly and I am sure it is a nice place filled with Frank Reynold types all over the place.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

ASiP is 'close' to reality for a lot of places in Philly.

That said, there are a lot of non-assholes in Philly as well. But the greasing of the poles is for the assholes, not the people who are more... normal.

The Philadelphians who think they (and Donald Trump) are "normal" (and rant about how much they hate other people for being "weird") are generally the worst assholes. Any US o An who is normal for the United States and thinks that makes them normal relative to world culture or human history or physics or logic is being ignorant (often belligerently so...).

In Philadelphia I frequently get mistaken for Charlie Day---I've been described as his evil doppleganger. That's how I found out about the show.

I am a little disappointed no one lit the lube-slathered lamp posts on fire (preferably after climbing to the top...).

The NFL doesn't usually interest me, but the confrontation between the most hated team and the most hated fan base
http://philadelphia....hated-fan-base/
is a bit intriguing. Though I'd rather watch the armored Cheaters (what better synonym for Patriot?) face a drunken mob of Igglooligans fans (with entertaining and enlightening commercials in between)....

Boston is Philadelphia north.
Philadelphia is Boston south.

They both have assholes for fans. Boston is probably a smidgen more racist though.

"If the Eagles beat the New England Patriots in two weeks, Jason Isaacs, 42, of South Philadelphia, said, 'They'll have to call in the military.'"

The anti-Boston sentiment is getting pretty extreme:

"'Until the Eagles win the Super Bowl, we won't be serving our Boston cream donuts or any other 'New England themed' donuts," the vegan doughnut company posted Monday morning on social media.

'No clam chowder donuts,' he said Monday afternoon. 'Or a glaze with those Boston baked bean candies on top. Definitely no Gronk Monster Energy-glazed donuts.'

Poleon is sticking to his pledge to ban Boston cream donuts until the Eagles win the Super Bowl, despite the possibility of an indefinite timeline. Depending on the outcome of the Eagles' Feb. 4 showdown against the Patriots, the ban could be two weeks - or it could be much longer.

While Philadelphia doesn't have any obvious namesake doughnuts for Boston shops to ban in response, Dottie's also announced the creation of the greased pole doughnut, a truly unique Philly inspiration."
