Just because I got so annoyed by you, Kazzoie, I went out and stared at the sun for like 5 seconds. It was liberating. I'm not afraid of that big ball of gas.

Now that's how you deal with conflict. JK!
Nothing but love my dude. I didn't mean to piss people off with that post and I probably should have placed it here instead of the Discussion > US Politics thread. I just thought it was another faux pas(minor that it was) by a president whos presidency has been one big faux pas, knowing that it would be yet another thing the media would run with and devote too much time to.

Oh, don't get me wrong, it's funny. But it's also a distraction.
I couldn't help laughing at that Last Week Tonight compilation. It's just so American to spend 5 minutes creating as much fear as possible. Talking about the sun like just glancing at it will immediately make you blind, give you all the eye cancer and probably set you on fire. It's like people forgot all those other times they looked at the sun and they didn't die.
Sure, you have to spell it out for the dumb fucks out there, that just because it's dimer than usual doesn't mean the sun isn't an evil cancer ball but the rhetoric is ridiculous.
Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to go make a face in the mirror and hold it in place for 30 seconds to see if my face remains stuck that way.

Yeah, local news here in the US can be absurd at times.
Thing is, it's impossible to actually "stare" at the sun. Sure you can shift your eyes up and get a quick glimpse but your automatic reflex is to shut them tight or immediately look away. And this is the case during an eclipse when there is only a sliver of the sun not hidden my the moon's shadow. So I find it highly unlikely that there are many eyes actually damaged by looking into the sun. I could be wrong though and there are people who don't have this automatic reflex to look away or shut their eyes.

I saw on Twitter the following savagery:
"Donald Trump must be so confused about who to support in the boxing. McGregor is white, but Mayweather beats up women..."

A Haunting Poem
I Scream
You Scream
We all Scream
For I Scream.

We all Scream
For I Scream.

CBS released a snippet of the interview with Bannon on 60 minutes. Yep, pretty much how I figured Bannon would present himself.

Yes! Saturday Night Live is back for the 2017/2018 TV season. Last season they were on fire with the Trump comedy. Looks like they kicked this season with style as well!

Get it while it's hot. This will probably be taken down due to copyright violation.
It's from The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and it's making fun of Sean Hannity and the notion that armed law abiding citizens could have prevented the Las Vegas shooter.
It's parsed from the original video: https://www.youtube....h?v=nV5fXPVeZoQ. But this link you have to watch the 8 min of build up (or you could just fast forward to the end)

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.
