Oh look at that, killing the Survivor accomplished so much.

And are you serious Trake? First, I'm accused of defending Omtose hard so they might be on the same faction as me, and then, when it turns out that they are indeed the survivor, you say it's suspicious that people would be defending the survivor hard??

How about this: It wasn't defending, it was just pointing out some reasonable logical sense, which only a couple of other people seem to get.

I was thinking partly along similar lines as Sorrit here.

The other thing that I have on my mind is that I don't have a full idea of who is on my team. The information we have as players is limited. The way that I can find out the information I'm missing is by getting other players to speak up and start interacting with one another and analyzing their interactions.

There's a reason why I posed it as a question rather than an accusation or vote.

Followers know most of the players in their faction already (their leader plus themself is 2 out of 3). Their concern is finding the leaders of opposing factions. But leaders don't know anything about their team. They are the ones who worry that they 'don't have a full idea who is on their team'. Mockra's priority is finding his own team, and that screams leader to me.

Ah, but that third is key. I don't want to aim blindly and hit the member I don't know. Would you want to take that risk, or would you rather try to fill in your blind spot?

Hell yes I'd take that risk. Unless there's a lot of nerfing going on since last game, the faction leaders are super OP. Losing a non-leader teammate is a pretty small risk compared to the reward of taking one of those bad boys down.

I'm not especially convinced by your defense on this issue. You screwed up and gave away information with what you said, and now you're trying to make it seem like it's not a slip. But it doesn't fool me.

Vote Mockra

I agree, the survivor wasn't my favorite lynch either. I find it strange that Trake singled out Gamelon and Alkend in his post, when you and I also said it was a "bad idea". Looks like blustering for post count.

I think I'll sort out the Sorrit, Mockra, Telas love triangle tomorrow. On first glance I can't tell who is more full of nonsense.

Why the fuck would I need high post count in a faction game?

The thing is Tulas, for all that you were wailing about an survivor lynch being a bad idea, you never once suggested an alternative. And you must have known that unless someone else was put forward as a lynch candidate the Omtose was going to be the one.

Why didn't you suggest anyone else? I think secretly you were OK with the Survivor getting it and all this is just bluster. I have a feeling you might be or have a puppet, and you're deliberately trying to take the opposite view to them on an issue for distancing.

This is true. Those umming and arring about lynching the Survivor could have offered an alternative but they never.

The point is that odds that you hit your fellow are 1:7. Those are some very good odds by mafia standards.

Yeah, that's decent. It's still a 3 way split at the moment though and even with that 1:7 I'd rather try to fill in the blanks then risk putting my team at a disadvantage.

At the same time, you're wrong about the odds. (Never tell me the odds!) I do know my leader, but that leaves me 12 other alts floating around. That also assumes that I'm not a puppeteer and that I'm on the bonehunters which is the only team that would actually be likely to not have puppet alts running around. None of which am I prepared to confirm or deny at this point.

According to the op, the Bonehunters leader is a rock gnome, which the information thread states has a clockwork toy (puppet alt) as it's racial ability. Of course you wouldn't be deliberately avoiding that fact, would you?

This made me lol. Mockra if you're going to be a know it all you have to actually be right!

And then the way Mockra tries to backpedal sounds like someone caught in a lie trying to bluff their way out.

I don't really like Telas's attitude, but his theory seems like a good one.

I can't speak for the others, but I thought maybe we could find something better. I wasn't really that convinced by Fanderay's case, and was hoping we could find someone associated with one of the factions to get rid of them. Ideally a leader.

Vote Mockra

I will add my weight to Telas's argument, with the belief that Mockra could be a leader.

This might be an interesting catch, you're right that Trake does not mention Tulas and yet they take offence. Of course, it doesn't jive with your previous suspicion that the protest against lynching survivor was an act, as Tulas and Alkend are not exactly taking opposing views.

Also it just occurred to me reading over that: Trake mentions you as well. Could you and Tulas be the same person?

Had a crazy morning at work, so less reading than I'd like.

Seems to me that most of the arguments on thread are hot-air - I guess it's important to know who is a puppet, but it's not something you lynch over. The only real accusation so far seems to be the one on Mockra by Telas. To me, the reasoning itself is less important than the reactions of rest of the thread. If you get immediate buy-in from everyone, you're probably wrong. If you get some people rushing to Mockra's defense, you're probably on to something.

There haven't been any out-and-out defenders of Mockra (apart from himself), but there have been a few interesting reactions:

This is a nice, subtle way of downplaying Telas' case. Maybe trying to take the heat off Mockra by proclaiming the whole thing a nonsensical mess?

Gamelon says he likes the theory, but there's a noticeable absence of accompanying vote. He also seems to have ramped up the activity a bit looking for dirt on other players...could be a defender? Not sure. He was sort of doing that yesterday too.

Then there are several players who have just ignored it completely. Alkend, Tulas Shorn, Trake and Lock haven't discussed it at all. Apparently Tulas Shorn is more interested in fighting yesterday's arguments...

So overall, mixed bag. Engagement from a few players has been positive (Kessobahn, Ultama), but mostly not that strong. A few players who might be trying to distract, but nothing concrete. I'll keep an eye on it.

I like the point on Mockra. Definitely fishing.

Also Tulas may be a puppet or a puppeteer.

Me, I want a possible leader.

I do think Mockra is currently looking like the best thing on the table. It would be quite a good way of downplaying that you're a leader. So deliberately leaving something out in order to, first, not draw attention to it and, second, if called out on it, you also have the 'duh, forgot, which I wouldn't if I was that person' card.

Although I say it would be quite a good play, clearly it hasn't worked out that way if that is the case.
