Mac, what can you see that makes it French? I can't see any plain white flags.
Edit: Actually, if I squint, some of those flags look like the have fleur de lis on them. So a battle between the english and french.

The war is Hundred years war (battle of Crecy in the top right corner, Agincourt just next to it, and the final battle the name of which I forgot at the bottom) and then there's the one Dalmatian

Just drawing a bunch of Dalmatians would have been too easy

If it was higher res you could see all the little French and English flags on all the little shields and little standards! Also they're placed on the map roughly where the battles actually took place
