Anyone playing the remastered collection? I'm getting into it. That first game is still a fucking masterpiece, especially with fancy new graphics. I guess a lot of people are having performance problems but I haven't really run into it yet.

I've got them sitting in my Steam library but I'm waiting for the patches.

Yet again I'm pleased that I have a ps4 instead of going pc master race. No issues at all. Bioshock one still has the most gorgeous atmosphere I've played in a game.

I'm debating whether to get it or not. Not sure I want to play through again. The surprises, plot points and creepiness that I felt the first time round will probably not have the same effect...

I loved Bioshock and Infinite, while 2 was a little disappointing (though a good game in isolation). Will definitely buy the collection at some point.

Just a heads-up to anyone who owns the Bioshock games on PC. You can get the Remastered version free if you confirm your CD-key.

The remasters automatically showed up in my steam library.

I debated buying it but in the end, nostalgia hit me in the face and I've bought it today. I never played the DLC so while not the meat of the game, it'll at least be something a bit different. Haven't played them in years as I traded them in after playing through once so quite excited about it now.

Ehhhh. Maybe if it came out super cheap but I still look back at Bioshock and think exactly how overrated it was. Average, but certainly not worthy of the hype.

I still gotta play Infinite. I got the remasters on Steam, since I own all 3 already. I'll have to give 'em a whirl after i play Infinite.

Anyone who has played a lot of the remastered ones, are they worth getting? Not sure I want to pay £40+ for 3 games I have already played...

I'm downloading Bioshock 1 right now. Will report later.

I'm not expecting much from the game. It's 10 years old. A lot of streamlining and refinement has gone into FPS games since 2006.

I played this around the same time I played S.T.A.L.K.E.R (around 2010)

Bioshock as a shooter is laughable. Bioshock 2 was a much better game, imho. The original had the atmosphere and the novelty of the setting going for it, and it tried a few things with the story that some found to be brilliant back in the day.

2 was an iteration, but it improved on just about every aspect of the game. Its DLC, Minerva's den was also great.

Just played around an hour on PC.

Only bug I noticed was some light flicker that shouldn't be there in a hall in the beginning. Otherwise it runs fine.

It plays like I remember it and looks like I remember it. It holds up well. The weapon and plasmid system is as primitive as always but the combat is fun.

In terms of whether or not the remasters are worth it I don't really know. If you loved the old games I am sure the remasters could be worth paying for but I am not sure I'd want to pay full price if I already owned the originals.

Yeah I have the originals on Xbox 360 so would have to pay for the full whack for the PS4 version...

Gonna give it a miss I think. I heard rumours of all Crash Bandicoot games being remastered for PS4 so I may eat took they come around ;)

Yes. I am clearly so wise I don't even understand myself! ;)

I think I was writing on my phone and I use a swipe keyboard, which quite often leads to interesting sentences such as the above...
