Warren Abuse Just one of this book's innumerable flaws

From the highest Mage to the lowliest asassin, no one in this book seems unable to teleport to the precise spot they want to be via warren, most often effortlessly, regardless of distance (across the battlefield or across a Continent? - not a problem).
And are not the Warrens poisoned? There is no evidence of that in RotCG. The constant (and more-often-than-not unhindered) warren hopping of so many in this book really irked me.

The Warren poisoning was dealt with at the end of MoI, and Warren travel is never simple or direct except when gods do it and usually that's targeted by their aspect or a worshipper.

Yah, plus that ship-through-warren trip is about as fraught a warren travel scene as we've gotten this side of the Trygalle Guild.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

The Warren poisoning was "dealt with" only in that its virulence and progression were somewhat blunted by a liberal application of Preparation Omtose Phellack. Joe Blow shouldn't survive using them like a telephone booth. The warrens are places, and only the ship through Chaos and the Wikkan horse depicted them as such. The rest was some ridiculous star-treky insta-teleportation. And even the ship and Wikkans were conveniently disgorged into the thick of battle, rather than the usual "welp, looks like we've still got 100 leagues of mundane travel ahead of us."

Paran recognized the House of Chains in MoI and HoC and as a result the CG's power was restrained. Hence, by TB, before RCG, no infection.

It was also geographically limited to the area around the Pannion Seer's empire anyway, and therefore wouldn't be an issue in Quon.
I'm really not seeing that Warren travel was particularly easy in this book. Moving the ship involved an extended ritual with the powers of dozens of high powered mages, and the Wickan travel which required a huge blood sacrifice.
We also get gruelling travel through Maels Warren from Shimmer's crew, Skinner and Cowl nearly getting burned alive, and the deaths of everyone using the imperial warren

Warrens aren't poisoned by this point. It's occurring near simultaneously with Reaper's Gale, in which the characters don't seem to have any difficulty using magic.
In MoI the infection was halted so that healing could gradually take place.
Warren travel didn't seem particularly easy to me in this. There was that whole thing with trying to get through Mael's warren. Yes, Cowl and Topper do quite a bit of popping in and out of warrens.... but they're also two of the most skilled practitioners around, pushing their abilities to the limits in a duel to the death.

Laseen did nothing wrong.
I demand Telorast & Curdle plushies.

Squad Mages are instantly flitting from the front lines to "Command and Control" for the sake of being messenger boys and girls. It's implied that assassins of all stripes are manifesting in Laseen's tent like it was Grand Central Station at rush hour - Otataral or no Otataral.

I felt pretty bad for Edgewalker.
