What is the best thread to move to? East/West/Futurology?

If I understood your link correctly, it counts interstate conflicts, so civil wars and insurgencies don't count. If I'm right, lots of civil wars and insurgencies, and things like ISIL would be excluded, so a lot of past violence gets left out.

The other thing is, forecasting doom makes money, so even with PiS out of power, Bolsonero out of power, Orban out of power, Golden Dawn actually raided by police the far right is eternally on the rise because that narrative makes money for news outlets and youtubers. The problems are not imaginary, but it's not as bad as it seems, it's just profitable to say otherwise. Farage has not really ever been close to the levers of power, however much people like to say otherwise.
