Looks fantastic. Good work :)

I like the scratches and the chipped corner of the frame. Nice details

This looks great!

Is this in Zbrush? You've mastered it, those flame details...:)

That does look great. Is it going to be metallic in the end or was the plan to add colours?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad that you like the current look of the brooch.

Dolmen, yes, this was made in ZBrush.
Gorefest, I've planned to add colours. The bridge will be silver, flames ruby - as described in the book. Ruby will be ruby :) - I want it to make pigeon blood ruby. The rest, I don't know at the moment. I need to think about that and choose some color scheme and overall material definition.

So next step is to make low poly version of the 3d model, unwrap model (prepare it for texturing), paint textures in Quixel Suite and make Vray shaders for final renders. Also at the end I would like to make some (10-20 seconds) cinematic with brooch as a trailer of the whole project.
I would like to make it asap but unfortunately I have some health problems (was once again in a hospital last week) and need to recover before my 2 trips in next weeks...

Araiel, that Sounds like a full production! I'd like to learn Zbrush properly but it seems reeeally difficult to access.

Half the things you said I vaguely recognize from CAD work I've done. The rest is Egyptian.

Sorry to hear your health is troubling you, Wish you a swift recovery!

Hi everyone,
at the beginning I want to thank you so much for your wishes. At the moment I'm feeling much better so I was able to come back to the project :Rodeo:
Below is the image of the brooch with textures and materials (simple render with 3 point light and gradient background).

Good to hear that you feel better again.

Looks Fantastic. Well done. :)
It looks like it was worn for some several years. That is a simple render? Wow. I especially like how the flames look.

Would you allow us to use it on the malazan wikis? We would also link it to your portfolio. Not sure if Egwene has already asked. :Rodeo:

Thanks, glad that you like it ;) Now I must try to animate camera and make some trailer about which I wrote before. It will be a bit difficult to make but I hope I will be able to make it as I want ;)
