So... Is Kap going to have people speaking only about his politics or his football this season? Will he play football this season? Will he play but be terrible?

I fear the last...

Wow what a fucked up ending! Den 21 Car 20. That time out undid Car kicker...

Yeah not often you see the iced time out actually work anymore. Kind of surprising Gano is usually so money.

That snap was almost head high. That didnt help either.

WHO DAT! GEAUX SAINTS! Can't wait to see my teams 1st game. Kick off now.

Ed Omg that was shittiest 1st 15 secs ever....

A little surprised the Raiders took that win from the Saints. Maybe shouldn't be as the Raiders are on the rise. Now Tampa Bay leads the NFC South after a pretty impressive win in Atlanta. After a shaky first couple drives (overthrew a wide open TD on the 1st drive, a pick in his own red zone on the 2nd drive that gave Atl a TD) Jameis Winston had a really nice game. WR Mike Evans seems to have recovered from last year's dropsies and big tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins finally contributed with a great TD catch. The Buc defense FINALLY appears to have an improved pass rush to go with being strong against the run and today they bent but did not choke away a lead for a late loss. Reasons to be hopeful about the season!

Why are they starting at 25 instead of 20? This is pro not College!

If you are talking about touchback's this year you start from the 25 yard line. Part of the NFL's plans to eliminate kickoff returns from the game.

That Rams/49rs game was terrible.

What surprised me was the lack of surprises this weekend. I remember raising an eyebrow at several of the Week 1 results last year, but this year the teams you would have expected to win based on last year/offseason did.

I thought the 49ers might pull a surprise victory when they started coming back at the end there but alas, it wasn't to be. ;)

We are 0-2 ;) I knew we were going to lose last game when Giants blocked our FG and ran it in for TD. We need to get our shit together so we can prove 2009 wasn't a fluke one time deal.

Maybe the Saints should just give up on the notion that they can be competitive despite all the flaws they have right now. Brees is an amazing QB but he can't carry this team, and what talent there is on defense is on its first two years in the league. Plus, the only good corner we have is injured.
If NO trade and release their dead wood over the next year or two, finally create room under the salary cap to sign what talent they have (Brandin Cooks, a couple of recent additions on the O- and D-line) and draft and groom a QB behind Brees, things will look better.

Dear Packers,

I found your offense hiding in my cave.

Love,

Bartman.

Any chance the Bears offense is in there too?

Maybe hiding under the guano?

We have McCown as 2nd string QB. He's no Brees but he did an ok job last yr when Brees was out. I mean I ll take any Saints SB win any yr for rest of my life obviously but I'm really hoping for a 2nd Brees/Peyton win.

If NO wanted a second SB during Brees' tenure, they should have started rebuilding three years ago, so they they'd have finished while Brees is still in his prime - this year, maybe next.

Instead, Loomis goes with expensive free agents with back-loaded contracts, with heavy repercussions towards future salary caps and it hurts the team.

The Bears are inept in all 3 phases of the game.

Watched my first game of the season yesterday, Broncos and Bengals. Very close in the first 3 quarters, and Bengals actually looked the stronger team. Didn't see that fourth quarter coming.

I read that first sentence wrong the first time through. But now I have a good name for my new band.

Broncos and Bagels.

Come on Joe Flacco give me some fantasy points. Youre killing me.

I watched the London game too. Colts were very fortunate to come as close as they did. Jaguars were better at everything.
