True, but Serc could have told them at some point in their convo. And Ryll also knew Serc's role name - from there it's obviously simple to work out which faction they're in just by looking at the OP.

The "Our Faction" phrase does indicate that they were on the same faction.

But the rest of the convo does not make sense at all. If they were on the same faction, then why is Ryll practically threatening Serc to divulge info? Serc does not seem at all sure Ryll is on his team, hence the line about "proving yourself". In fact the entire episode reads like somebody trying to sidestep a hostile interrogation.

I am very sceptical of what both of them are claiming. Serc may not necessarily be a regular. Remember, Ryll only quoted a portion of PMs. From the way it starts, there is more we are not seeing.

Im inclined to believe that Rhyll probably is an heir level warlock, since i think its probably damn near impossible to get that ability at regular and probably very hard at Elite.

I wouldn't know, nor the time, nor this actual ability everyone is talking about that Ryll used on Serc. What puzzles me, and what I couldn't find, is why Rhyllandaras would push like he did if he knew Serc could expose him - basically making sure Serc would do so. This seems like trading your rook for your opponent's pawn.

If there's some major gambit in one-on-one chess match, I could understand - but there's a third faction around that is currently playing Parthy Anthem while they watch the mess developing in front of them - deservedly so, too, I'd say.
